Pokemon GO now has the ability to directly connect with Niantic's social app, Campfire. This new feature adds an extra level of engagement for the dedicated fan base. Despite some challenges such as the Remote Raid Nerf issue, the game continues to grow in popularity. Previously available as an invite-only app when it launched in July 2022, Niantic has expanded access to Campfire, allowing even more trainers to join. By connecting with Pokemon GO and other Niantic-developed apps, players can now further enhance their social interaction and collaborate to make the most of the game.

Initially designed for player information sharing, the app also provides supplementary functionalities. Niantic has seamlessly incorporated Campfire’s features into its games, enabling players to connect, establish friendships, and communicate effectively.
The key function of this social app is to connect various Pokemon GO trainers for Raid Battles and other exclusive events. It promotes collaboration among players in nearby communities, facilitating teamwork to conquer Raid Bosses.
The Campfire app is readily accessible on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. On the game's screen, certain players will notice a compact green square map button, which will navigate them directly to Campfire. Upon logging in to the app, trainers are required to establish a connection with their Pokémon GO account. Once successfully linked, the app presents a comprehensive map featuring nearby Raids.

Upon accessing the Campfire app, opt for a particular Raid or Gym in order to utilize the Flare Chat feature. By tapping on the "Chat" option, players will be seamlessly added to the Flare Chat dedicated to that specific Raid or Gym. Additionally, there is an alternative to "Light a Flare," which promptly notifies nearby individuals about an ongoing Pokemon GO Raid Battle.
Flare Chat provides dedicated chat rooms for each Raid or Gym location, enabling players to effectively coordinate in-game events with other participants. It allows users to join Flare Chat from anywhere and be part of a single chat room at a time. The chat history resets once all participants have left.
Campfire introduces a new feature called Team Up, which facilitates the process of joining forces and participating in Raid Battles. Through the Team Up menu, players can easily host or join a raid and view nearby raid options. As a host, users can form a group with a maximum of five trainers in close proximity using Team Up. They can also add these players as friends and invite them to participate in the raid.
To join a raid without hosting, users can opt to enter through Team Up. This feature automatically pairs them with hosts for a collaborative Pokemon GO raid experience. Additionally, Team Up offers pre-set messages to aid in group communication and coordination.
It is important to note that by utilizing this feature, other users may temporarily view the user's username and real-time location. Individuals should feel comfortable with this limitation before proceeding and should avoid disclosing personal information.
Currently, only a select few individuals have access to the Campfire app. Although it is widely accessible to users in the US, there are certain restrictions imposed on numerous Pokemon GO users in the UK, suggesting a methodical deployment procedure.
Pokemon GO can be accessed on both Android and iOS platforms.
