In the Genshin Impact 3.8 update, players won't find any new characters to collect. However, this doesn't mean that Travelers cannot gather Primogems for future characters. Version 3.8 introduces a range of exciting features, including new outfits for Klee and Kaeya, engaging mini-games, Genius Invokation TCG cards, and more.
It's important for players to consider their spending habits when calculating the amount of Primogems they can obtain from any Genshin Impact update. Free-to-play (F2P) players will naturally receive fewer Primogems compared to pay-to-play (P2P) Travelers.

How To Earn Primogems In Genshin Impact 3.8
Daily Commissions
In Genshin Impact, players can complete four Daily Commissions, each of which rewards them with 10 Primogems. Additionally, by speaking with Katheryn, players can earn an extra 20 Primogems, bringing the total to 60 Primogems per day. By multiplying this number by 42, players can accumulate a total of 2,520 Primogems from Daily Commissions alone.
Blessing Of The Welkin Moon
Blessing of the Welkin Moon rewards P2P Travelers with 90 Primogems every day, which is equal to 3,780 Primogems in 42 days.
Battle Pass
Free-to-play players will receive a total of five Acquaint Fates from the regular Battle Pass, which is equivalent to 800 Primogems (5 x 160). On the other hand, pay-to-play players will be rewarded with an additional four Intertwined Fates and 680 Primogems once they reach level 50. This brings their total Primogems to 2,120 (800 + 640 + 680).
Bottleland Exploration
The Sumeru's version of Golden Apple Archipelago, the Bottleland, likely includes some Chests players can open. Players can estimate 500 to 1000 Primogems from exploration.
Stardust Exchange
After the Stardust Exchange reset in August, players gained the opportunity to acquire five Acquaint Fates and five Intertwined Fates from the Paimon Shop. This allows them to make a total of ten wishes, which amounts to 1600 Primogems since five wishes are equivalent to 800 Primogems.
Spiral Abyss
Assuming Travelers can finish the Spiral Abyss perfectly with 36 stars, they’ll receive 1,800 Primogems for 3 rotations.
Hangout Event & New Achievements
In addition to the new TCG content, players can look forward to the Hangout Event and a new area to discover as part of the Secret Summer Paradise event. These exciting updates will bring about new Achievements that offer a generous reward of approximately 60 Primogems. Furthermore, by unlocking all endings in the Hangout Event, players will also receive an additional 60 Primogems.
Character Test Run
There are four characters rerun in Genshin Impact, and each one gives 20 Primogems upon completing the Test Run, which translates to 80 Primogems.
New Events
Considering the magnitude of the Secret Summer Paradise event with its multitude of mini-games and opportunities for exploration, it is anticipated that participants will be rewarded with approximately 1,000 Primogems. In addition, each of the remaining three regular events is expected to grant 420 Primogems, resulting in a total of 2,260 Primogems for Travelers.
