Baldur's Gate 3 offers a wide range of spears for players to choose from. While all spears have equal damage when used without their abilities, players can unlock their true potential by utilizing their unique qualities, creating formidable weapons that can determine the outcome of any battle.
8 Pitchfork
When all else fails, the player can resort to grabbing a pitchfork and hoping for the best. This humble weapon, with its simplicity emphasized by various descriptors like "simple," "very simple," "extremely simple," and "super-duper simple," offers the advantage of a straightforward approach. It inflicts 1d6 piercing damage and has a range of 1.5 meters.
Additionally, the pitchfork provides the advantage of a Rush Attack action, allowing the player to push an enemy Off Balance. Another, albeit less practical, benefit is the sense of accomplishment one can feel from using a pitchfork to take down an opponent. It's not every day that someone gets the opportunity to say they have accomplished such a feat.

Though it lacks any additional abilities and maintains a discreet appearance, this melee weapon from Baldur's Gate 3 possesses the potential to cause significant damage when wielded by a skilled individual. 6 Spear +1
No great mystery here either, the Spear +1 is exactly what its name suggests: a Spear with added power. It is ideal for players who enjoy both magic and simplicity. When wielded with one hand, it inflicts 1d6+1 piercing damage; when wielded with two hands, it deals 1d8+1 piercing damage. Impressive indeed.
Similar to the other weapons, the Spear +1 provides the Rush Attack ability. However, what sets it apart from its counterparts is the additional feature of Weapon Enchantment +1, making it a valuable choice for players who value investing in their weaponry. Those seeking it can also find it at the Druid Grove, available for purchase from the Merchant Dammon.

5 Jagged Spear
The Jagged Spear may seem ordinary, but its true value lies in its versatility. At its worst, it effortlessly keeps the player's enemies at bay, while at its best, it proves to be an invaluable tool even when it fails to strike its target. This weapon boasts the Torturous Edges enchantment, which grants the player Advantage on their next Attack Roll against the enemy if their initial strike misses.
The spear inflicts 1d6 piercing damage when wielded with one hand and 1d8 piercing damage when wielded with two hands. It also has the Rush Attack ability. This weapon is ideal for players seeking a satisfying vengeance. You can locate it near Torturer Spike and his unfortunate victim at Shattered Sanctum.

4 The Watcher’s Guide
When a player acquires a weapon with the ability known as Death's Promise, they can anticipate chaos ahead. Equipped with The Watcher's Guide, the wielder gains an advantage in their subsequent attack against an enemy, provided they initially miss their target.
This weapon can be discovered within the Dank Crypt, concealed inside a sarcophagus. However, the player should be prepared for the challenge of solving a rather difficult puzzle in order to unlock it. Nonetheless, the rewards are well worth the effort.

3 Vision Of The Absolute
With a name like "Vision Of The Absolute," one's expectations for this spear are high. And rest assured, those expectations will be met. This uncommon magical weapon bestows upon its wielder the extraordinary power of Absolute Night, granting them the potential to blind their adversaries.
Furthermore, if the player successfully attacks creatures with more than two eyes (which are quite plentiful), they will inflict an extra 2d6 damage. Locating this ability, however, requires a bit of exploration as the Shaft can be acquired in the Druid Grove from Edowin's remains, while the Head can be obtained from the mother Owlbear. Once both pieces are obtained, the player can combine them using the "combine" option in their inventory, resulting in a powerful weapon.

Could it be too powerful? It's quite possible, considering its additional features: the Moonbeam, a level 3 Evocation Spell, and the Moonmote, a Class Action.
