The official website of the Metallic Rogue anime series started streaming a new promotional video on Friday, October 13, 2023. Along with the video, they also announced the entire staff involved in the production. This anime series is an original creation by Studio Bones, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary through this project.

The Metallic Rogue anime series is scheduled to debut in Japan in January 2024. However, an exact release date has not been confirmed yet. It has been confirmed though that the series will be available for international streaming as episodes air weekly on Japanese network television.

The storyline of the Metallic Rogue anime revolves around the central character, Rogue, who is an android girl living in a world where both humans and androids coexist. Rogue, together with her partner Naomi, embarks on a mission to Mars. Their ultimate objective is to eliminate the Immortal Nine, a group of artificial humans that are perceived as a threat to the governing political authority within the series.

The third teaser promotional video for the anime Metallic Rogue was released along with the announcement of the full staff for the series. While there have been limited cast announcements, Yume Miyamoto has been confirmed to play the lead role of Rouge, with Tomoyo Kurosawa co-starring as Rogue's partner, Naomi Orthmann. It is expected that additional cast members will be announced in future updates.

The series is scheduled to premiere on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block in Japan in January 2024. Crunchyroll has already confirmed that they will stream the series internationally, with new episodes being released weekly in Japan. It is currently unknown if any other platforms will also be streaming the series. Described as a "tech noir" anime, the available synopsis hints at a murder-mystery atmosphere.

Previously revealed as the creative team behind the series were director Motonobu Hori and animation production company Studio Bones. Joining them is Yutaka Izubuchi, who is not only responsible for the series scripts but also serves as the chief director. Toshizo Nemoto takes charge of writing the screenplays, while Toshihiro Kawamoto ensures captivating character designs. The musical composition is a collaboration between Taisei Iwasaki, Yuma Yamaguchi, and Towa Tei. Adding to the lineup of talented individuals is today's announcement of the following staff members:
