Warning! Spoilers ahead for Fast X.
Brie Larson, star of Fast X, recently took to Instagram to share insights into the filming and training process for Tess' significant bridge action sequence. Directed by Louis Leterrier, Fast X serves as the tenth main installment in the beloved Fast & Furious series. In this film, Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto squares off against an imposing new adversary portrayed by Jason Momoa, known as Dante. With an expansive ensemble cast, Fast X introduces Larson as Tess, the daughter of Mr. Nobody, played by Kurt Russell.
Larson recently took to Instagram to give a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action of Tess' Fast X action scene. The picture shows Larson shooting a rifle and leaping onto cars against a massive blue screen backdrop. Take a look at Larson's post below:
This particular scene is set on the iconic bridge that was also the location of the intense final confrontation in Fast Five. Dom, Tess, and Aimes (played by Alan Ritchson) all come together for an epic shootout. In Larson's caption, she humorously advises, "life advice: don't mess with Tess, especially when she's wearing her big coat."
What's Next For Brie Larson's Tess After Fast X?
Fast & Furious 11 has already been confirmed, and there are potential plans for Fast & Furious 12. Despite Tess being injured, she remains alive at the end of Fast X, implying her return in the future. The follow-up movie has not disclosed much information, but the Fast X ending leaves multiple unresolved plot points.
Not only does the Fast X ending leave Dom's fate and the fate of his friends uncertain, but it also demonstrates Dante's possession of God's Eye, a dangerous hacking device with various malicious uses. After recovering from her gunshot wound, it is highly likely that Tess will do everything in her capability to retrieve this technology and prevent further catastrophes. Being Mr. Nobody's daughter, Fast X may also be paving the way for Larson's character to assume a leadership role, following in the footsteps of her enigmatic father.
The Fast X cast is undoubtedly the most impressive of the franchise, but due to its size, some characters don't have the opportunity to shine as much as they deserve. Unfortunately, Tess falls victim to this and is somewhat underutilized, but there is potential for improvement in future films. It remains uncertain how Tess' story will develop after Fast X, but it is likely that the character will play a significant role in the future.
