In most Zelda games, the final battle features a thrilling face-off between the heroic Link and the villainous Ganondorf. However, in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one player takes a different approach by creatively trapping the arch-villain. Since the game's release, the new crafting mechanics in Tears of the Kingdom have provided endless entertainment for players who showcase their homemade vehicles, houses, and even elaborate fireworks displays.
Nevertheless, some mischievous players of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been utilizing Link's powers in less savory ways. Specifically, they have been crafting torture devices to use on unsuspecting NPCs, particularly targeting the plant-like Koroks. These players have gone as far as building cages to trap and even crucify the Koroks as a form of revenge for the infamous Korok Seed side quest in Breath of the Wild. Other creatures have also become victims of such unscrupulous actions, like one player who created a Chuchu-powered vehicle that they themselves acknowledge is ethically questionable as a means of transportation.
Another creative Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan has taken these methods of torture and imprisonment and directed them towards a more deserving target: the infamous Ganondorf himself. In a series of clips posted by Twitter user yukino_san_14, Link can be seen constructing cages and various devices to restrain his longtime nemesis. One particularly memorable example showcases Ganondorf trapped waist-deep in a cleverly crafted prison made of Fuse. Adding insult to injury, Link even takes out his trusted Purah Pad to snap a quick selfie while the Hyrule villain glares on.
But yukino_san_14 doesn't stop there in their quest to humiliate Ganondorf. In other posts, Tears of the Kingdom's Demon King finds himself trapped in a custom maze or subjected to repeated spankings from a spinning torture machine. It's no surprise that fellow players have found great amusement in witnessing these hilarious attempts to humble the dark warlord. Some find it amusing that Ganondorf, who slept for thousands of years, can be defeated by a crude cage, while others can't help but feel a hint of sympathy for the vulnerable and trapped state he finds himself in.
In contrast to the unfortunate Korok and Chuchu who suffer at the hands of mischievous players in the game Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are not many people in Hyrule who would object to yukino_san_14 imprisoning Ganondorf. This is due to the severe threat he poses to the land in Link's latest adventure. Fortunately, it appears that the Demon King can be contained using a simple wooden cage or maze, allowing Link to have more time to explore the expansive open world of Hyrule and showcase his unique battle vehicles.
The game Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
