Chapter 4 Season 3 introduced a plethora of fresh additions and features to Fortnite. However, it also inadvertently removed one of the game's most cherished aspects - the freedom of movement. When the Fortnite WILDS season initially debuted, players were thrilled to explore all the dazzling new elements, only to realize that navigating the map was now significantly slower compared to previous seasons.

In response to the feedback received from gamers, Epic Games has made the decision to reintroduce the Grapple Glove in Fortnite. While this item is not commonly found, avid fans may struggle initially to locate it. Fortunately, this guide will provide them with precise instructions on where to find it.

How to Get the Grapple Glove

The Grapple Glove is a rare item that can be found in Fortnite. It is not commonly found on the Battle Royale island. To obtain the Grapple Glove, players must either find it in a chest or as loot on the ground. Due to the wide variety of items available in Fortnite, it can be difficult to locate the Grapple Glove.

Recently, the Grapple Glove was reintroduced into the game through a surprise update. According to the patch notes, players have a higher chance of finding the Grapple Glove in the Zero Build mode. In this mode, the likelihood of finding the Grapple Glove in chests increases by ten percent, and the chances of finding it as loot on the ground increases by five percent.

How the Grapple Glove Works

The Grapple Glove functions similar to the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters and the ODM Gear. By aiming and shooting its grapple at a structure or object, players can effortlessly swing from one place to another. With a total of 30 charges, once the Grapple Glove is depleted, it will vanish from the player's inventory. However, if a player eliminates an opponent and acquires their Grapple Glove, its charges will not be reset.

The device has a cooldown feature that prevents players from continuously swinging after landing. If gamers release the Grapple Glove or fail to connect it to another nearby object, they will return to the surface and a cooldown will begin. They can only use the Grapple Glove again once the cooldown period is over.

The duration of the cooldown countdown increases with the consecutive use of the Grapple Glove. Using it once results in a five-second countdown, using it twice results in a ten-second countdown, and using it more than twice results in a fifteen-second countdown.

Fortnite is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
