Where to Discover Flames at the Southern Ruin:
Fortnite WILDS introduced the jungle as a prominent addition in Chapter 4 Season 3. Within this season's jungle biome, players had the opportunity to delve into various enigmatic temples, each housing its own hidden treasures waiting to be revealed.
How the Flame Puzzle Works
Exploring the temples in Fortnite will lead players to encounter various puzzles that need to be solved in order to discover hidden rooms. These rooms always offer an abundance of loot, including chests, ammo boxes, and their rare counterparts. This guide will provide Fortnite players with the solution to the flame puzzle found in both the Southern Ruin and the Hidden Ruin.
In order to access the second loot root located within the Southern Ruin and Hidden Ruin temples, players are tasked with solving the flame puzzle. Initially, they must unlock the temple door by offering a valuable item of exceptional rarity. This will grant them entry into a room filled with various treasures. However, their path forward is blocked by another locked temple door, which presents a challenge to the player: locate and align matching flames.
This room will have multiple braziers, some with purple flames and others unlit. Players need to find braziers in corresponding positions on different levels of the temple. Subsequently, they must either extinguish or ignite the braziers in the hidden chamber to align them with their counterparts.
Where to Find Flames at the Hidden Ruin
The Hidden Ruin temple is one of the two temples on the Fortnite map that contain a room that requires gamers to solve the flame puzzle.
After unlocking the initial temple door, gamers will come across a secured entrance that requires them to locate and align flames. The second set of braziers can be found under the concealed chamber, necessitating players to descend where the temporary bridge (the wooden board) previously stood. Within this area, four additional braziers await, and it is crucial for players to memorize which ones are ignited. Subsequently, they must ascend back to the upper level and either extinguish or ignite the braziers in a manner that corresponds to the ones below.
Where to Find Flames at the Southern Ruin
Located in the Southern Ruin, towards the southern region of the Appatarus, adventurers will stumble upon the initial locked door upon descending the underground stairs. Armed with a weapon of considerable rarity, they shall unlock this barrier and unveil a chamber harboring a quintet of braziers. As if dancing in harmony, one brazier stands tall in the center while the remaining four radiate their gentle glow from each corner.
The Southern Ruin landmark presents a slightly greater challenge due to its multiple divisions. The flame located on the ground level, just above the secret room, serves as a reference for gamers to compare with the flame in the center of the room. The remaining four flames can be found on the first level, accessible by using the ascender.
As before, players must carefully observe which flames are already lit and make the necessary adjustments to align the flames in the secret room accordingly.
