Unleash the Art of Kazuha: Mastering Genshin Impact's Genius Invokation TCG and Crafting the Ultimate Deck

Version 3.8 of Genshin Impact focuses on the annual summer event, introducing a new temporary location called Veluriyam Mirage instead of the previous Golden Apple Archipelago. Unlike the previous patch, which emphasized the trading card game (TCG), this update expands the Genius Invokation TCG by introducing a new set of cards. Three new playable characters, Kaedehara Kazuha, Yanfei, and Candace, have joined the roster in this patch, along with some support deck cards.

Kaedehara Kazuha's release has sparked player interest due to his strength as an Anemo support unit in Genshin Impact's actual gameplay. In the TCG, he fulfills a similar role, providing crowd control and additional damage support through his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. This versatility makes him a valuable addition to many different team compositions, allowing him to fulfill various roles in different situations.

Kazuha Card & Skills

Normal Attack: Garyuu Bladework

Accessing Kazuha's Character and Talent cards is easily achievable for all players, regardless of their level. Simply by extending an invitation to Kazuha and emerging victorious in a match against him at Cat's Tail using a Match Invitation Letter, these cards can be obtained. Furthermore, players can unlock his talent card by fulfilling additional objectives. Capitalizing on the introduction of the new game mode Forge Realm's Temper, players now have the opportunity to amass additional currency, ensuring a sufficient supply of Match Invitation Letters for their preferred characters.

Kazuha's Talent Card: Poetics of Fuubutsu

Fuubutsu's Poetics is an exceptional talent card that skillfully mirrors Kazuha's gameplay, bolstering the infused element's Elemental DMG. This card empowers the entire team to effortlessly unleash more devastating damage, greatly aiding in the swift defeat of opponents, regardless of the situation. Therefore, integrating this card into the deck, particularly in compositions that prioritize Swirl or mono-element strategies alongside Anemo, can offer remarkable advantages. Adding it to the support deck is a strong recommendation for players to consider.

Best Kazuha Decks

: Kazuha's versatility as a support character allows him to seamlessly integrate into various deck compositions. With the ability to utilize Swirl, Kazuha decks can effectively disrupt opponents and break combo plays by forcing active character switches. Additionally, his Elemental Skill grants the team quick-swap abilities, facilitating smooth transitions to the next character. Interestingly, Kazuha synergizes particularly well with other Anemo characters like Venti, a synergy that is not commonly seen in the actual gameplay of Genshin Impact. While these decks are widely regarded as some of the best, it's worth noting that they may lack defensive capabilities. Therefore, it is crucial to place the Kazuha card strategically before the desired character for combo purposes.

Kazuha + Venti + Shenhe

This deck composition, combining three support characters, is highly effective due to its immense potential for Swirl Damage and disruptive gameplay. It functions similarly to the previously popular option with Xiao, but with notable differences. Instead of relying on Xiao's plunge damage and frequent swapping, players can now switch more rapidly between characters thanks to Kazuha. However, Kazuha can still benefit from plunging attacks by infusing them with Anemo and multiplying the swirl effect.

The key to the deck's success lies in the exceptional synergy between Venti and Kazuha, allowing for seamless character swaps with the help of dice management. Shenhe's kit further enhances the composition by ensuring that both Kazuha and Venti can swirl Cryo, resulting in amplified damage through Shenhe's Icy Quills. Additionally, applying Cryo to opponents may cause them to be Frozen, especially if they use characters like Xingqiu or Kokomi, who apply Hydro to themselves when using their skills.

Kazuha + Yae Miko + Mona

Electro-charged is an immensely powerful elemental reaction in the TCG, capable of consistently wearing down opponents' HP with piercing damage. Though it may not possess the same level of intensity as the previous full-swirl deck, it still boasts remarkable damage-dealing potentials, thanks to the impressive abilities of Yae Miko and Mona. In this lineup, players have the choice to swirl either Hydro or Electro, as both elements can be utilized in similar ways. However, swirling Electro proves to be more advantageous, particularly when combined with Kazuha's Talent Card effect. This is primarily due to Yae Miko's ability to deal higher DMG with her Burst ability compared to Mona.

On the other hand, players may opt to swirl Hydro instead, especially if their focus lies in maximizing Yae Miko's Burst ability usage while simultaneously wearing down the HP of characters already affected by Hydro. For those who prefer a more defensive strategy, replacing Mona with Kokomi is worth considering. Kokomi offers healing abilities while still maintaining the potential for Hydro application.

Kazuha + Raiden Shogun + Keqing

Another effective deck for a mono-swirl elemental setup features Raiden Shogun, Keqing, and Kazuha. While Sara's electro-support abilities may be favored by some, Kazuha proves to be more advantageous for players looking for a disruptive deck option. Raiden Shogun can summon additional Electro damage, but her main advantage lies in providing energy to other characters when her Burst is activated. This greatly benefits both the Swirl potential of Kazuha and, more importantly, Keqing, whose powerful Elemental Burst can deliver AoE damage to defeat enemies in large numbers.

To maximize this combo, players should start with Raiden Shogun to quickly activate her Burst after using her Elemental Skill and normal attack. Then, switch to Kazuha for his Elemental Burst and Skill. This allows for an immediate swap to Keqing, enabling players to activate her Elemental Skill followed by her Burst. Thanks to Keqing's ability to generate quills, players can efficiently perform quick swaps among all characters and follow this combo rotation. This strategy reduces reliance on support cards to speed up the process and manage dice usage.

Recommended Action Cards

For Kazuha, being a support character means that choosing the best action cards depends more on the team rather than Kazuha himself. However, players might want to consider using the "Plunging Strike" card as it allows Kazuha to combine his normal attack with swirling, giving him an extra way to deal damage. Since suggested team compositions usually lack defensive characters with strong shields or healing abilities, support cards with these abilities can be extremely valuable.

Being an Inazuma character, Kazuha benefits from the Inazuma Region action card when paired with other characters, which helps with dice management. It's still recommended for players to use cards like "The Bestest Travel Companion," "Timmie," and "Varanara." Additionally, players may also think about including cards that facilitate quick swapping, although these may not be as important due to Kazuha's own abilities and synergy with characters like Venti or Keqing, who have inherent swapping abilities.
