Unleash Mayhem with the Legendary Dezerter Iconic Shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

The Dezerter, found in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, is a formidable shotgun known for its devastating power. The Testera variant delivers incredible damage with each trigger pull, surpassing that of a regular shotgun. Weaker enemies are easily eradicated with just one shot from this iconic weapon.

To acquire the Dezerter, players need to have access to the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion and enter Dogtown. Once inside, they can easily locate this coveted shotgun.

The Dezerter shotgun is located in a storage garage near the Terra Cognita building in southern Dogtown. To reach the location, head south from the Shacks towards the tall elevator. Ride the elevator to the top and then go to the right side of the underpass. The video above provides a visual guide to the exact route. Access the garage by entering the code 1975 on the keypad to open the door.

Typically, players will need to complete a DLC Gig called "The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman" in order to obtain the Dezerter shotgun. In this Gig, Mr. Hands tasks V with seeking revenge against Barghest soldier Leon Rinder, who is believed to be responsible for the deaths of seven residents in Longshore Stacks. Rinder can be found in the Scav harvesting den within the Westwind Estates in Pacifica. Although it is not mandatory to complete this quest, finishing it will reward players with the location of the Dezerter shotgun.

Go to the designated apartment complex and eliminate the Scavs to locate Rinder, who will be heavily bandaged. Despite the killing of Jason Foreman, Rinder will deny any responsibility. Players will have the choice to decide how to proceed with him. To obtain the key to the Dezerter shotgun, hold a firearm towards Rinder and request his dogtags. He will willingly comply and hand over both his tags and the key to his concealed stash.

The Dezerter shotgun packs an exceptionally powerful punch, surpassing even the Testera's standards. It fires explosive rounds that boast a remarkable 400% chance of dismemberment and an additional 25% armor penetration. However, there is a tradeoff: eliminating an enemy with this shotgun will engulf players in flames. This fiery state grants players enhanced movement speed and an increased chance of mitigating damage.

To fully capitalize on the potential of this weapon, it is recommended to adopt a Body and Reflexes build, focusing heavily on the Shotgun/LMG perk line. The Rush of Blood perk slightly mitigates the Dezerter's lengthy reload time by quickening it when dismembering a target. Additionally, the Dash skills found within the Reflexes trees enable players to swiftly close the distance between themselves and enemies, surpassing ordinary speed.
