T.J. Holmes shared his concerns about being away from his girlfriend Amy Robach when she goes on trips without him.

In their podcast episode on Friday, April 12, Amy, 51, talked about her upcoming visit to see her daughter in Germany.

Robach shared that they will be apart for a couple of days, which is the first time in a long while. She has two daughters, Ava (21) and Annalise (17), with her ex-husband Tim McIntosh.

Holmes, on the other hand, jokingly mentioned that he wouldn't mind the distance between them. He pointed out that everyone needs a break sometimes, even if they don't realize it. He mentioned that he only said "maybe" and clarified that he didn't necessarily like or want the break. He emphasized that he didn't play a role in them being apart.

After being asked by Robach about her plans for the four days she would be away, Holmes admitted that he wasn't sure how he would feel about being apart for so long. "I might end up curled up in a ball for a few days," he joked before opening up further. "I'll be concerned about your safety while you're traveling."

Holmes expressed his concern whenever Robach is away. He mentioned that he feels more frustrated than angry when they are apart, especially when traveling separately. Having gone through many experiences together, Holmes admitted that he always feels anxious and fearful when they are not together. He explained that he worries about not being there to protect or assist Robach, emphasizing that he simply dislikes being apart from her.

He expressed his anxiety about potential future events, admitting that he often worries about what may happen given their past experiences.

Robach jokingly mentioned Holmes not missing her, to which he responded by saying that it wasn't about missing her, but rather about missing her even when she simply goes to the bathroom. He shared that he dislikes being apart from her for extended periods of time, especially when they travel separately.

Holmes and Robach often use their joint podcast to share a glimpse into their personal lives. In November 2022, photos of them getting cozy outside of work made headlines, despite being married to other people.

That same month, Holmes filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig after over ten years of marriage. Robach also ended her marriage to Andrew Shue, whom she wed in 2010. In January 2023, we revealed that Robach and Holmes were officially let go from ABC, and the network later confirmed their departure from GMA3.

Holmes and Robach initially kept quiet about the scandal, but they decided to share their side of the story in December 2023 through their podcast.

During the debut episode, Holmes clarified that they were exposed for being in a relationship, not for being unfaithful to their spouses. She explained that at the time the pictures were taken and the article was published, they were already going through divorce proceedings.

Robach also spoke up about her relationship with Holmes. She mentioned that they were both going through divorces at the time and had legal support. They believed they were shielding their children and families, as well as valuing their privacy. Looking back, she admitted that they may have been naive in thinking they had the luxury of time and privacy.
