Content revision:
The most captivating Yellowstone moments occur in the Dutton dining room, where their personal chef, Gator, serves exquisite meals. Incredibly, Gator is not an actor but a skilled culinary expert.
Gabriel Guilbeau, portraying a fictionalized version of himself in the Paramount Network drama, has nurtured a passion for food since childhood. Growing up in a Cajun heritage, Guilbeau embarked on his entertainment journey as a maintenance worker in the industry, eventually progressing to prepare delectable dishes for the cast and crew on various film sets.
After quickly building a solid reputation, he earned the opportunity to meet with the Yellowstone crew, including cocreator Taylor Sheridan. Following his arrival in Montana, Sheridan asked Guilbeau when he planned on firing up his barbecue pit. Guilbeau shared that in a recent interview with Delish, stating, "I was actually thinking of lighting it up right now." In response, Sheridan deadpanned, "That's the perfect answer. You'll fit in just fine here."
In addition to his real-life nickname, Gator, Guilbeau is getting ready for the release of his debut cookbook, Yellowstone: The Official Dutton Ranch Family Cookbook. The highly-anticipated book is currently available for pre-order and will hit stores on Tuesday, September 12. Inside, readers can find a collection of recipes inspired by beloved characters like Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser), as well as dishes that capture the essence of ranch life and would be a hit with bunkhouse residents.
