Assisting Iara in luring and catching the elusive Ball Octopus is crucial in Genshin Impact for players looking to acquire a Strange Part. These parts are necessary for repairing Seymour and enable players to make purchases from Xana in Merusea Village.
The Fishing Game secret quest is, in essence, a straightforward interaction in Genshin Impact. Iara will share anecdotes about her fishing mentor, while Paimon and the Traveler collaborate to cast bait into the water, summoning a Ball Octopus.
Fishing Game Quest In Genshin Impact
Upon reaching the southwestern side of Merusea Village, players will come across a Melusine named Iara, engaged in fishing along the river. Iara is one of the numerous characters that players can interact with to obtain the Strange Part. This item is crucial for advancing in Mamere's quest within the game Genshin Impact.
Paimon expresses curiosity regarding Iara's fishing techniques, given the scarcity of water in her chosen fishing spot. Paimon finds it unusual for a Melusine to employ a fishing rod, to which Iara defends herself by mentioning that she learned the skill from Delaroche, who also provided her with the fishing rod. However, Iara quickly confesses that it has been a while since she last caught anything.
Paimon proposes to assist Iara and showcase her fishing prowess, while the Traveler expresses skepticism about the presence of fish in this particular location. Iara, feeling perplexed, recalls Delaroche's advice that not all areas are abundant with fish. She also mentions the mysterious "thing" she managed to catch while being in this vicinity. As Paimon prepares the bait in Genshin Impact, Iara showers her with admiring remarks.
After concluding the conversation, players can proceed a short distance ahead to distribute bait along the river. Once this task is completed, a harmless Ball Octopus will appear, showing no response to any actions. In order to advance in this hidden quest, players need to engage in combat with the Ball Octopus and emerge victorious. Following the defeat of the Ball Octopus, Iara will carefully deposit the weakened creature into her waiting bucket.
Paimon expresses curiosity about how a Ball Octopus ended up in such an area, given its uncommon presence here. To Paimon's surprise, Iara satisfies her inquisitiveness by revealing that she personally caught it, using the opportunity to test her fishing skills. Eventually, Paimon discovers that Iara's previous failures were attributable to her use of the incorrect bait all along.
Upon the conclusion of the dialogue among Paimon, the Traveler, and Iara, the Fishing Game quest will come to a close in Genshin Impact. As a reward, players shall receive 20 Primogems combined with a Strange Part.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
