A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom cleverly set up a trap for a Hinox, resulting in an unexpected and humorous outcome. The trap was triggered, causing the Hinox to meet its demise while still in its slumber. Tears of the Kingdom extends the player's freedom from Breath of the Wild, granting them the ability to approach puzzles and combat scenarios as they see fit.
One key factor enabling this expanded freedom is Link's newfound powers, such as the Ultrahand ability. In Tears of the Kingdom, players receive the Ultrahand power early on, enabling them to pick up and attach various objects in the game. Ultrahand proves to be a useful tool in combat, offering multiple approaches. However, sometimes the simplest methods yield the deadliest results, despite the immense power at the player's disposal.
While Ultrahand can be utilized for constructing impressive devices, such as a mechanized weapon capable of carrying out all the killing on behalf of the player, one Reddit user, known as Katasan84, opted to forego the advantages of Ultrahand. Instead, they opted for a more physical and careful approach, surrounding a slumbering Hinox with numerous explosive barrels in order to give it an extremely rude awakening. Unforeseen circumstances led to the plan taking an unexpected but favorable turn.
The manner in which Katasan84 managed to encircle the Hinox with over 20 explosive barrels without arousing its awareness is a remarkable accomplishment, especially considering the stealthy Sheikah armor set they were wearing. After strategically placing enough barrels to potentially devastate the entire region of Hyrule, Katasan84 proceeded to initiate phase two of the plan. This phase involved rousing the Hinox using an arrow and subsequently detonating the barrels with a single, precisely aimed shot, equipped with a Fire Fruit attached to the arrowhead. However, as fate would have it, the Hinox unintentionally fulfilled their objective, essentially doing all the work for them.
Katasan84 strategically placed the barrels to avoid the Hinox's arms while it slept. However, they didn't consider the movement of the arms during its awakening animation. Shortly after shooting an arrow to wake it up, the Hinox's arms flailed behind its head, accidentally hitting a powder keg. This caused an explosion that triggered a chain reaction, resulting in the death of the Hinox before it could even stand. Sometimes, plans can be so successful that they work out perfectly without even being fully executed. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch.
