Eastern regions such as Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk have been the focus of multiple strikes, where some of the most intense fighting has occurred. This comes after Ukrainian authorities announced the interception of cruise missiles for the first time in nearly 80 days. We really need the help

Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, expressed the urgent need for assistance as the most recent Russian attacks occurred following the US Senate Republicans' obstruction of foreign aid. "We are in dire need of help," Zelenska emphasized. "In plain terms, we cannot afford to grow weary of this situation, as doing so could result in our demise."

"And if the world gets tired, they will simply let us die," Zelenska added.

Fighting in Ukraine remains intense despite little movement along the frontlines.

Russia has been pressing hard to capture the eastern city of Avdiivka, where soldiers have described grinding trench warfare.

While visiting Washington, DC on Thursday, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron emphasized the United States' crucial role as the "lynchpin" of the Western coalition supporting Ukraine's battle against Russia. He urged US lawmakers to bolster Ukraine's morale by passing an aid package for Kyiv, stating that allowing Putin to claim victory in Ukraine would be the worst outcome.

"It hurts us greatly to see the signs that the passionate willingness to help may fade," Zelenska told the BBC, adding: "It is a matter of life for us. Therefore, it hurts to see that."
