Tyler Cameron from Bachelor Nation revealed that Hannah Brown was on his mind while he was competing in season 2 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. The 30-year-old spoke to the 29-year-old about his experience on the reality show during an episode of "Better Tomorrow" on Wednesday, November 29th. Cameron admitted that he motivated himself during the tough training by reminding himself that if he didn't finish it and Hannah did, he would be a "loser" and "soft". Hannah Brown had previously won season 1 of the show earlier this year.
"Did I play a role in ensuring that you finished it?" Brown inquired.
Cameron responded, "You were always on my mind. I would think, 'If Hannah can do it, so can I. But it's going to be even more challenging from here on out.'"
Brown later asked Cameron if he found it more challenging to compete on The Bachelorette or Special Forces. "To be honest, both are like mental warfare," Cameron replied. "Trying to date you and trying to earn the approval of the Directing Staff – that's a battle in itself."
The pair both found that their experience on the dating show had somewhat readied them for the rigors of the Special Forces course. "On The Bachelorette, you would see someone start to break down... and on the Special Forces, the same thing would happen," Cameron noted. "Once they were given an excuse to quit, they would start to fall apart."

In another part of the episode, Brown disclosed that Cameron had called her just before beginning the 10-day course, expressing his desire to understand what he was getting himself into. Cameron had previously mentioned attempting to contact Brown before the abduction, but she did not answer, so he did not receive any advice from her.
He went on to say that while he didn't offer her any advice, he had spoken to her about it before and she had mentioned how difficult it was. He initially underestimated the difficulty, but she was right in the end. Cameron was the runner-up on season 15 of The Bachelorette in 2019 and despite the finale ending their relationship, they reconnected on the After the Final Rose special and agreed to go on a date.
Over the years, they kept a strong bond and almost reignited their romance while quarantining together during the March 2020 COVID-19 shutdown. Brown later revealed details about their relationship in her book, "God Bless This Mess: Learning to Embrace Life's Ups and Downs," which was published in November 2021.
