Hannah Brown candidly discusses her skin issues.
In videos shared on her Instagram Story on Monday, October 23, the 29-year-old opened up about her battle with acne. She mentioned that her skin had improved after her last facial but suffered a flare-up two weeks ago. However, she assured her followers that it had slightly improved in recent days. Brown bravely showcased her makeup-free textured skin in the video, allowing fans to see her true condition.
"A significant portion of the issue stems from excess oil beneath the skin, particularly in this area," she stated, gesturing towards her cheekbones. Brown acknowledged her reluctance to give up her cream bronzer and blush, but her facialist recommended trying a different product as a potential solution. "I'm willing to give it a shot, along with regular facials every four weeks, to effectively manage and achieve that radiant, glowing skin."
Additionally, Brown disclosed that her skin has displayed noticeable improvements since utilizing beauty products recommended by both her dermatologist and esthetician.

Reflecting on her skincare journey, the former Bachelorette acknowledges that her skin is now "relatively clear." She understands that her current condition is not comparable to those who are struggling with severe acne. Having personally experienced the difficulties of dealing with acne, she empathizes with the frustration that can arise from seeing someone with seemingly flawless skin. However, she recognizes that her journey began with just a few small bumps, prompting her to take a more proactive approach to skincare.
She wrapped up the video by expressing her endeavor to incorporate facials into her skincare routine and discover effective products that suit her needs.
In 2021, Brown discussed her ongoing battle with acne on her YouTube channel. In the video, she showcased earlier footage of her experiences with "adult acne" while she participated in the Miss USA competition in 2018.
"It had such a detrimental impact on my mental well-being. I experienced intense depression and constantly felt as though people were scrutinizing me, making it difficult for me to concentrate on my own words... Whenever I had to prepare for my obligations as Miss Alabama USA, I would cry because there was no way to conceal it. The expectation placed on me as a symbol of beauty made me feel incredibly unattractive," she openly admitted.
Since then, Brown has explored various treatments and experimented with options such as Accutane and red light therapy. Towards the end of the video, she shared words of encouragement for others battling acne, stating, "You're not alone with that noticeable blemish on your cheek, because I also have them... You are all remarkable and beautiful, despite any imperfections."
