Travis Kelce missed a chance to make a move on Taylor Swift, and he can't seem to forget about it.
During the July 26 episode of their podcast "New Heights," Travis Kelce, who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, discussed his experience attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium. He also promoted SeatGeek, a ticket-selling platform.
Travis expressed his disappointment that Taylor Swift does not engage in conversations before or after her shows, as she needs to preserve her voice for the extensive number of songs she performs. Because of this, Travis felt a sense of sadness for not being able to personally hand her one of the bracelets he had made for her. When Jason inquired about the materials used for the bracelet, Travis described the tradition of exchanging jewelry at Swift's performances. Although he had received numerous bracelets from others during the event, Travis had a specific desire to present Taylor Swift with one that had his contact information.
Jason, a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, grew interested in knowing if his brother was talking about his jersey number, 87. Travis chuckled at the idea and playfully taunted, "You know which [number]."
Travis Kelce expressed his disappointment at being rejected, saying, "She doesn't meet anyone - or at least she didn't want to meet me, so I took it personally. However, her performance was incredible. The people of Kansas City really showed their support, with everyone dressed in pink and purple, going wild for her."
Swift, aged 33, has previously expressed her support for the Eagles, dedicating a mention to the team from her home state in the song "Gold Rush" from her album Evermore. Jason speculated that Swift had not yet let go of the Super Bowl defeat and jokingly suggested that she may have fabricated her claim. (In the championship game held in February, the brothers and their teams competed against each other, with the Chiefs emerging victorious with a score of 38-35.)
Prior to Swift rejecting Travis' advances, it was revealed in April that she had ended her relationship with her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The former couple had been together for six years before deciding to part ways.
According to an exclusive source, fame played a significant role in their breakup. Joe, who is known for his reserved nature, struggled with the constant media scrutiny that came with dating one of the world's most famous singers. However, it is important to note that he never held Swift responsible for her elevated celebrity status.

Although Swift has not addressed her breakup with Alwyn directly, fans believe that she dropped hints in her Eras setlist. Just before news of their split surfaced, Swift replaced "Invisible String" with "The 1" in the Folklore section of her three-hour concert. She also performed surprise songs that seemed to allude to her mindset after the breakup, including "You're Not Sorry" and "False God." Some attendees even witnessed Swift shedding tears during some performances.
According to an insider in April, Swift was enjoying her newfound freedom and feeling optimistic after ending things with Alwyn. She was later romantically linked to Matty Healy, but their whirlwind romance did not last.
Travis, for his part, previously dated Kayla Nicole for five years before calling it quits in 2022.
