Travis Kelce's Mom Reveals Surprising Truth Behind Taylor Swift Romance

Donna Kelce expressed her belief that the NFL is benefiting greatly from her son Travis Kelce's high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift.

Donna and her sons, Travis and Jason Kelce, who are professional football players for the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, first gained attention back in February when their teams competed in Super Bowl LVII. However, Travis' blossoming relationship with Swift has now made them well-known figures even among those who aren't interested in sports.

The NFL is certainly taking advantage of the increased attention and making the most out of it. However, both Travis, aged 34, and Jason, aged 35, believe that the league might be going a bit too far with the amount of coverage it is receiving.

Jason told Travis to give his “honest opinion” on the matter during the Wednesday, October 4, episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

Travis Kelce, pictured here at a game, expressed his enjoyment of seeing who is in attendance. He believes it adds to the atmosphere and enhances the viewing experience. However, he also feels that the amount of focus on this aspect may be excessive, particularly in his own case.

Jason, on the other hand, adopted a contrasting perspective.

“I believe the NFL is still unaccustomed to the presence of celebrities during their games,” he commented, drawing a comparison between the NFL and NBA. “Basketball has successfully embraced this phenomenon. Celebrities are stationed courtside, actively engaged. They are briefly showcased a few times before the focus promptly shifts back to the game.”

The one thing the brothers did agree on was how “cool” it’s been to watch their mom become a star over the past year.

"She has been incredibly successful," Travis exclaimed. "I want to give a shout-out to my mother, Mama Kelce, for making an appearance at my game. She even expressed her gratitude because she felt like she was in a different world."

Travis was, of course, talking about Donna's presence at the Chiefs' game against the New York Jets on Sunday, October 1, where she sat with Swift and her well-known companions such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman.

Swift publicly supported the NFL star for the second time during their ongoing involvement. Travis initially developed an interest in the singer after attending her Eras Tour at his team's home stadium in July. Since then, their relationship has been progressing steadily.

According to an exclusive source in the new issue of We, "Taylor is thoroughly enjoying getting to know Travis. They are taking things one day at a time, but she has great expectations. She appreciates that he is a genuine, kind person who remains humble despite his fame. Additionally, she finds him attractive."
