Travis Kelce surprises fans with a cameo on 'SNL' as the show hilariously parodies the NFL's coverage of Taylor Swift, taking playful jabs at her past relationships Don't miss this entertaining Saturday Night Live moment!

During the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live, it became evident that there is a strong presence of Swifties among the audience. This was apparent through the sketches and celebrity appearances that took place.

One particular skit involved the SNL cast, including episode host Pete Davidson, taking on the roles of NFL reporters and analysts. Their focus was on the Philadelphia Eagles game against the supposedly "cursed" New York Jets. However, the broadcast took an unexpected turn and shifted towards a lively discussion about Taylor Swift.

In Week 7, Taylor Swift fans may have been disappointed to miss her at the Chiefs game which took place on Thursday. Kenan Thompson, in his role as commentator Curt Menefee, made a joking mention of Swift's presence at Travis Kelce's home game earlier in the week. Mikey Day, as Howie Long, stated that the focus of the show was supposed to be football and not Swift, but couldn't help expressing his own fan support or lack thereof for her current and past relationships.

"Boyfriend? Hang on a second, nobody mentioned 'boyfriend,'" interjected Day, 43, suggesting Swift's newly discovered romance with Kelce, 34. "We shouldn't assume anything here."

Following that, James Austin Johnson, playing as Jimmy Johnson, further clarified that Swift and Kelce are presently "taking their time" and merely "hanging out."

Molly Kearney’s Terry Bradshaw disagreed in a respectful manner, stating that Swift was present for "comedic relief". Kearney, on the other hand, mentioned that she was in the luxury box with Mama [Donna] Kelce while enjoying cocktails alongside Deadpool. Kearney's reference was towards Swift bringing her squad, including Ryan Reynolds, to the Chiefs game on October 1. In Kearney's words, "Folks, they're official!"

The group even commended Kelce as a superior match compared to Swift's previous partners Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. Swift was in a relationship with Alwyn, 32, for six years before their separation in April, during which she briefly dated Healy, 34.

"Hey, I'm just relieved it's not Matty Healy," Johnson, 34, remarked, prompting his colleagues to avoid mentioning the name of the 1975 frontman during their broadcast.

"Travis Kelce, as a fellow Super Bowl champion, I must emphasize that this is a truly momentous occasion, surpassing even the significance of the Super Bowl," Michael Strahan of Devon Walker stated earnestly. "You cannot afford to make any mistakes here. It is extremely 'Delicate!'"

The skit went on to draw parallels between her relationship with Kelce and Alwyn.

Johnson said, "You're acting as if it's Joe all over again, it's too early for that." He cautioned that history could repeat itself and reminded Day's Long about Swift's song "Karma." Despite Day's Long's argument that the song is not about Alwyn and that not everything revolves around Joe, Johnson emphasized the significance of Swift's six-year relationship with the actor.

During the broadcast, the crew handed over the reins to sideline reporter Kenny DiTullio, who was joined by Davidson, 29. The King of Staten Island actor was clad in an Eras Tour sweatshirt and a vibrant pink fuzzy cowboy hat, accessorized with a collection of friendship bracelets adorning his arm. In a gesture reminiscent of Swift's Fearless era, Davidson also painted the number 13 on his hand, expressing his profound disappointment at Swift's absence.

"Why are you asking why? There was an online rumor that she would be coming to support Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce's brother, who plays for the Eagles," Davidson responded, explaining why he believed the Grammy winner might make an appearance. "But, she hasn't shown up yet. I'm starting to question why I even came here."

Thompson eventually grew frustrated with his colleagues' sole focus on Swift. "Enough with the Swift talk, people tuned in for football, okay?" he remarked. "Let's take a break and when we return, we'll delve into this intense East Coast rivalry... We'll speak with someone who actually wants to discuss football."

Travis, who had previously hosted an episode of SNL season 48, was shown on the sidelines as the cameras switched. In the concluding moments of the sketch, Travis exclaimed, "Yes, it's me!" and silently mouthed the words, "Come on."

Travis and Swift have been linked together since July when he tried to exchange numbers with her after her Eras Tour show in Kansas City. They have since gone on multiple dates, and according to a source, both Swift and Kelce have a strong liking for each other and intend to continue seeing each other whenever their busy schedules allow.

The source also mentioned that Swift intends to attend some of Kelce's games, although not every single one. The insider explained that Taylor doesn't want to draw attention away from Travis and understands that her presence at his games can be overwhelming. She wants to support him and find a balance between being there for him and not causing distractions for the team.

Swift was also in New York City on Saturday for the SNL taping. She surprised everyone by making a cameo to introduce Ice Spice, the musical guest. Ice Spice, 23, and Swift became friends after their collaboration on a remixed version of the song "Karma," which they debuted at the Eras Tour concert in New Jersey. Saturday Night Live is broadcast on NBC on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
