During the December 20 episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Travis Kelce had a message for those who were unhappy to see Taylor Swift in the stands at his NFL games, referring to them as the "Brads and Chads". Kelce, 34, celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs' 27-17 victory over the New England Patriots, where Swift, 34, was in attendance with her father and friends.
During the game, Taylor's presence at the stadium drew attention from fans and even received praise from Travis. Her loyal support for the Chiefs has made her a familiar face at the games, and her actions during the recent game only added to her already impressive reputation.
"They went wild when Taylor appeared on the screen. ... There might have been a few dissenters, but the majority of the crowd was intensely cheering for Taylor," Travis recounted. "I was trying to stay composed, thinking, 'Don't reveal your hand.'"

Prior to the game, Travis was seen walking through a tunnel adorned with posters of athletes who have graced the Gillette field - including one of Taylor. In a viral video, he is seen admiring an image of his girlfriend, taken during one of her performances at the stadium during her 1989 Tour.
On Wednesday, Travis mentioned that Taylor's previous experiences at the venue made the game even more enjoyable for everyone. "Shout-out to the Patriots, New England," he said. "Taylor has stated that the stadium is one of the most enjoyable venues she has played at. So, for them to acknowledge her is like showing her some love, so a shout-out to the Patriots for that."
The two have been romantically linked since September, but Taylor revealed to TIME Magazine, who named her Person of the Year for 2023, that her relationship with Travis actually started over the summer. "We had a significant amount of time that no one knew about, which I appreciate, because we got to really know each other," she explained in her cover story earlier this month. "By the time I attended that first game, we were already a couple. Some people might think they witnessed our first date at that game? We would never be crazy enough to have our first date as a public event."

Taylor revealed that she and Travis started hanging out shortly after he sweetly mentioned her on "New Heights" in July. Travis had planned to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at one of her Eras Tour concerts in Kansas City, but they never managed to meet at the show.
Speaking about their relationship publicly for the first time, Taylor mentioned that she is unaware of how frequently she appears on screen at Travis' games. "I don't know how they figure out where I'm sitting. ... I'm just there to support Travis," she explained to TIME. "I have no idea if I'm being shown too much and upsetting some dads, Brads, and Chads."

Travis has been open about his relationship with Taylor on “New Heights” and in other public appearances, expressing his admiration for the songwriter. “I’ve never been with someone who has that kind of presence… I’ve never experienced it,” he shared with WSJ. Magazine last month. “But I'm not avoiding any of it. She faces a lot of scrutiny and is constantly under the spotlight, with paparazzi following her every move. Yet, she continues to live and enjoy life. When she's able to do that, I shouldn't be the one acting out of the ordinary.”
