Travis Kelce is gearing up to celebrate Taylor Swift's birthday in a big way, with sources telling We that he's determined to throw the best party possible for the singer, who will turn 34 on Wednesday, December 13. According to an insider, Kelce, 34, is willing to spare no expense and wants to ensure that Swift's close friends are part of the celebration.
According to another source, the party will take place in New York City instead of Kelce's hometown of Kansas City.
Rumors that the couple was dating began in September when Swift was seen supporting Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Earlier that summer, Kelce mentioned on his podcast "New Heights" that he had wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet when he saw her perform at the same stadium. He stated that they didn't meet at the show, but Swift recently discussed the timeline of their relationship in her TIME 2023 Person of the Year interview.
Travis humorously called me out on his podcast, which I found to be quite amusing,” she shared, mentioning how she and Kelce began to spend time together shortly after that. When she went to her first Chiefs game, Swift and Kelce were already in a relationship. "We had the advantage of being able to keep it under wraps for a while, which was great because we had the opportunity to really get to know each other. Some people may have thought that the game was our first date, but we would never be so bold as to do that."

Throughout the season, Swift has shown her support for Kelce at numerous games. This included the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday, December 10. During the game, she received an early birthday present from Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s family, which was gifted to her by Hunt’s daughter Ava. After the game, Swift was seen leaving Arrowhead with a disappointed Kelce following his team's 20-17 loss.
The couple was seen leaving the venue hand in hand, with photos posted and shared on social media. Taylor Swift made an appearance during Sunday's broadcast, and despite being referred to as Kelce's wife by CBS commentator Tony Romo, she doesn't mind the increased attention on their relationship.
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," Swift told TIME. "The opposite of that is that you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other."
Despite their hectic schedules, the couple has prioritized their blossoming romance by maximizing their time together during moments of leisure. After the Chiefs suffered a defeat to the Denver Broncos in October, Swift adjusted her travel plans in order to reunite with Kelce at the earliest opportunity.

According to an exclusive source at the time, Taylor empathizes with Travis and understands that he does not handle defeat easily. As a result, she decided to go visit him in Kansas City a day earlier than originally scheduled in order to provide comfort and support during this difficult time.
The couple has mostly managed to maintain a low-key presence while spending time in Kansas City. However, earlier this month Swift and Kelce were seen at a holiday gathering with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes at the temporary bar Miracle on Main Street. Photos posted on social media even featured Swift and Kelce wearing matching sweaters for the festive event.
