Erin Andrews, 46, and Charissa Thompson, 42, playfully claimed credit for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship during their recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Even though they weren't actually the ones who set them up, Andrews and Thompson are more than happy to take the credit. Kelce seems to be enjoying the joke as well.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is 34 years old, responded by calling the pair "the best."

Kelce left a comment on an Instagram clip of the pair's interview, saying, "For America!! Charissa and Erin are the best!"

The NFL commentators and hosts of the “Calm Down” podcast were happy to take credit for setting up Kelce and Swift when questioned about their matchmaking efforts by Fallon.

Andrews told Fallon that she and Thompson are friends with Kelce and have featured him on their podcast. They wanted to show their support for his efforts to impress Swift, who is 34 years old.

"He mentioned on the podcast that he attended the [Eras Tour] show and wanted to meet her afterwards, but didn't get the chance to. So we discussed it on our podcast, encouraging Taylor to give him a chance. I mean, he's a good-looking guy," Andrews explained. "We were like, 'Come on, Taylor, go for it!'"

Thompson shared, "We were advocating early on. He was very sweet and appreciative, saying, 'I owe you guys big time.' So, naturally, everyone gives us credit. We'll gladly accept it. I just adore both of them and I'm thrilled to see them happy."

Fallon expressed his gratitude, saying, "That was you who did that, thank you. On Memorial Day, as a country, we honor our servicemen and women. But it's important to also thank you for what you've done for all of us. You brought us Taylor and Travis, oh my God."

Thompson jokingly thanked America for their support. He also replied to Kelce's Instagram comment with "Uncle Trav ❤️ we love you."

During a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's teammate and close friend, claimed to be the couple's matchmaker.

Mahomes said he likes to take some credit for bringing Travis to the first Taylor concert where the idea of the friendship bracelet came up. He feels like he was the matchmaker since Travis was sitting in his suite.

He added that he also had some input in the situation. Mahomes encouraged Travis to go for it, saying, "Dude, you should go for it." He praised Travis for being a great guy and expressed his happiness that everything worked out well.

Kelce and Swift made their relationship public in September 2023 and have been there for each other ever since. She showed her support by attending 13 of Kelce's NFL games, including the Super Bowl LVIII where the Chiefs emerged victorious against the San Francisco 49ers. Kelce reciprocated by traveling around the globe to be by Swift's side during her Eras Tour, with his most recent attendance at the 87th show in La Défense Arena, Paris, which coincided with his jersey number.

Kelce, speaking exclusively to We at his Kelce Jam festival in Bonner Springs, Kansas on Saturday, May 18, shared his admiration for Swift's incredible shows. He encouraged others to experience them firsthand, stating, "Taylor’s shows are unbelievable. If you haven’t been to them, You got to try it."
