Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, has nothing but nice things to say about his son’s new girlfriend, superstar Taylor Swift.
“I believe Travis and Taylor make an incredible couple," Ed expressed in an Entertainment Tonight interview published on Wednesday, October 25th. "They truly deserve a strong bond of friendship, and potentially even something more."
Ed highlighted his appreciation for the couple's connection, stating, "It's fantastic to witness their genuine connection. They are both remarkable individuals who genuinely enjoy each other's presence while providing unwavering support."
Swift, 33, began showing her support for Travis, 34, during his football games in September, when she attended her inaugural Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in the exclusive suite belonging to the tight end. Since then, Swift has been a regular presence at several games, cheering on Travis and his team alongside Ed, mom Donna Kelce, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes. It was during the Chiefs' match against the Denver Broncos on October 12 that Ed was first seen engaging in conversation with Swift.
“I noticed something very special about Taylor the first time I met her. We were sitting in the suite when she suddenly got up and headed to the front room. To my surprise, she started picking up empty bottles, cans, and plates that were scattered around,” Ed revealed to People on Monday, October 23.

During a segment on their podcast "New Heights" in October, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, comically advised Taylor Swift to steer clear of their father, as they playfully analyzed footage of Swift and Ed's interaction. Travis began, "If you're familiar with Dad like we are," prompting Jason, 35, to interject, "Then Taylor Swift should probably avoid talking to him."
Jason suggested that Swift should prioritize spending time with their mother, considering their father's unpredictable nature.
"Who knows where those conversations are headed," Jason jokingly pointed out, referring to instances when their father engages in discreet conversations.
Ed, undeterred by his sons' disapproval, intends to forge a closer bond with Swift amidst her ongoing relationship with Travis. Confidently expressing his intentions, Ed informed ET that he unequivocally reserves a seat for her in the event of the Chiefs reaching this season's Super Bowl—provided she isn't overwhelmed by her bustling Eras Tour schedule.
