The rumors have been fueled by passages from Barker's 2015 memoir, where he discussed his attraction to Kim during her time working with Paris Hilton in 2006. However, Barker is now clarifying that his past feelings for Kim are not affecting his current relationship with Kourtney.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Barker stated, "Kourtney's fans are concerned about Travis being a womanizer, but that's not the case. I shared my past experiences as a means of personal growth and healing."
Barker confessed in his memoir that he found Kim incredibly attractive and that they had frequent conversations. They even shared meals together, both for dinner and lunch. Contrary to what one might assume from hearing about Kim's infamous tapes, Barker emphasized that his interactions with her were completely respectful and gentlemanly. He found it unusual how his encounters with Kim differed from his previous experiences with women.
During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Barker clarified that this aspect of his past doesn't cause any issues in his relationship with Kourtney. He assured the interviewer that Kourtney knows about his prior friendship with Kim. Barker dismissed any negative assumptions, stating that nothing inappropriate occurred between him and Kim. He debunked any rumors suggesting that their past interaction is the reason for any conflicts. Barker considered such speculations to be utterly absurd.

"It’s all gross...I’m not the bad guy!" Moakler also confirmed this in an interview with We, stating, "I divorced my ex because I saw them — I caught them having an affair." Nonetheless, Barker maintains that he is not the cause of the animosity between the sisters.
