Despite this, if Top Boy season 6 does come to fruition, it will shift its focus away from these two characters. The expansive cast of Top Boy leaves room for possibilities, and while there haven't been any concrete plans announced for a new season, that doesn't mean Netflix can't revisit the Summerhouse estate and captivate viewers once again.

However, during an interview with GQ, Ashley Walters, the star of the show, disclosed that the decision to conclude Top Boy before season 6 did not originate from Netflix. Rather, it was the cast and creative team of Top Boy who made this choice. "Netflix wanted the show to go on indefinitely! But Kane Robinson and I personally felt that it wasn't the right thing to do, so we opposed it," he explained. Consequently, whether Netflix decides to renew Top Boy will largely depend on the willingness of the original cast and team to remain involved, as well as the feasibility of continuing the show without them.
