Tom Schwartz and Katie Flood's Fiery Winter House Hookup Sparks Sensational Success

Winter House's Danielle Olivera and Jordan Emanuel applaud Tom Schwartz for moving on from Katie Maloney by getting involved with Below Deck's Katie Flood. In a recent interview with We, Danielle, who is 34 years old, discussed how Schwartz and Flood formed a strong connection during the filming of season 3 in March. "They hit it off right away," shared the Summer House star.

Schwartz, who is 41 years old, had reservations about approaching Flood because her first name, Katie, is the same as his ex-wife's. According to Danielle, they formed an early connection, but Schwartz struggled to move forward due to the name similarity. Jordan, aged 31, revealed that they had to have a conversation with Schwartz to encourage him to take a chance. "We told him to overcome the name issue and just give it a try. Let loose a little," said Jordan, a star from Summer House: Martha's Vineyard. "To show our support, we began using her last name when referring to her."

Season 3 of Winter House showcases a group of Bravo stars embarking on an exciting adventure to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Audiences will delight in recognizing familiar faces from Vanderpump Rules, Summer House, Below Deck, Family Karma, and Summer House: Martha's Vineyard.

Schwartz initially appeared as a guest on season 2, appearing alongside Tom Sandoval. However, during his appearance on Winter House, Schwartz was on his own as filming began shortly after Sandoval, 41, made news for being unfaithful to Ariana Madix by getting involved with their fellow cast member, Raquel Leviss.

While Schwartz briefly dabbled in the dating world during season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, his time on Winter House was the first opportunity for him to truly embrace the dating scene.

Schwartz and Maloney, both 36 years old, publicly announced their breakup in March 2022.

Schwartz expressed his disappointment, but made it clear that he did not see himself as a victim. Instead of dwelling on the sadness, he chose to approach the situation with maturity. He acknowledged Katie's decision and emphasized that they have engaged in constructive and positive discussions about it. Schwartz also recognized that it would have been even more disheartening if Katie had chosen to stay with him despite her unhappiness.

He continued: "How can I possibly summarize 12 years of love in a canned Instagram caption? I'm not ready to use the 'D' word because it's too painful. Our relationship was filled with incredibly blissful, romantic, and fun moments. It brought us immense joy, like being in heaven on earth. She taught me so much about love and how to be a better partner."

The tension between the former couple grew when Schwartz kissed Raquel, 29, at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies' wedding in August 2022. Schwartz later confessed that he was aware of Sandoval's previous involvement with Raquel at that point.

Schwartz openly acknowledged his marital mistakes during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February. He admitted to straying multiple times and reflected on times when he believed his relationship was on the verge of ending, acknowledging his own irresponsible behavior. As a result, he stated that he does not anticipate getting married again, although he remains open to falling in love in the future.

Since then, Schwartz has been romantically linked to hairstylist Jo Wenberg, a topic that will be explored further on season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. Furthermore, his Winter House co-stars believed that his brief connection with Flood was exactly what he needed at the time.

Danielle expressed her perspective on Schwartz finding his confidence, stating, "I believe it was a truly inspiring triumph." Jordan chimed in with a simple confirmation, saying, "Seems like it, yeah."

The highly anticipated third season of Winter House will debut on Bravo on Tuesday, October 24th, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
