Tom Sandoval isn’t the No. 1 guy in the group on Vanderpump Rules — or on The Masked Singer.

Sandoval, aged 41, was revealed as the Diver in the episode of the Fox competition series on Wednesday, October 4. He expressed his enjoyment, stating, "It was a great experience performing without any judgment on my appearance but solely on my performance." Upon disclosing his identity, he added, "I had a feeling people would guess it immediately." Throughout the show, Sandoval provided hints about his identity, mentioning the public's dislike towards him.

"It was incredibly gratifying to make my debut as the Diver last week. Receiving love and appreciation from both the panel and the audience was truly uplifting, especially since I haven't received much of that lately," he expressed in his Wednesday promotional package. "Since I was a child, I've always aspired to be famous. I pursued modeling, acting, and, of course, singing. I eagerly awaited the day I would become a household name, but I never anticipated it would be surrounded by so much hatred."

Sandoval emphasized his determination to demonstrate his worth beyond his past mistakes, affirming that his participation in The Masked Singer has been a profoundly transformative and restorative experience.

"Sharing my talent rather than my drama has been exactly what I've been looking for," he expressed.

A few judges speculated that Pete Davidson or DJ Pauly D might be hiding behind the costume, especially when the Diver expressed his fondness for "the club." However, Ken Jeong correctly identified Sandoval from the beginning.

Tom Sandoval, the Diver, is easily identifiable due to his ownership of two clubs and his association with the reality TV show Vandeprump Rules. This was acknowledged by the enthusiastic exclamation, "There you go!" from one individual, while Jenny McCarthy concurred, mentioning the presence of a pump in the package as a clue. The suspicion of fans was also aroused early on, with Sandoval himself hinting at his identity through cryptic statements about feeling lost and disliked in the underwater realm.

Super sleuths, including ourselves, immediately suspected that "pumped" referred to Pump Rules, while "the most hated creature" seemed like an obvious allusion to Sandoval's controversial affair with fellow cast member Raquel Leviss. In March, Us confirmed that Sandoval and his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix called it quits after nine years together due to Sandoval's secret relationship with Leviss, who is 29 years old.

Diver's clue packages strongly hinted at his involvement in a scandal, with references to past mistakes he had made. "It is painful to be judged by people who have never even met me and to be blamed for the actions of every bad guy they have encountered," he expressed during the season premiere. "Right now, the opportunity to share my true self without preconceived notions about who I am is exactly what I need."

A few visual hints also suggested Sandoval's identity, such as a compass that pointed to the letters "MW" - possibly alluding to his hometown of St. Louis located in the Midwest. Additionally, another clue was found on a magazine cover showcasing the phrase "11 million eyes on Diver." Notably, Season 10 of Pump Rules garnered an average of 11 million viewers per episode.

"Diver expressed his desire for people to distance themselves from his business, implying potential references to his personal life or his stakes in the restaurants TomTom and Schwartz & Sandy’s.

Following the media coverage of his affair with Leviss, Sandoval urged the public to refrain from posting negative online reviews about his establishments. In a March Instagram post, he emphasized that Schwartz & Sandy’s not only bears his name but also has three other partners and employs 20 individuals who heavily rely on the restaurant for their livelihoods and supporting their families. Similarly, he highlighted that he is just a small part of the larger enterprise that is TomTom. Sandoval requested that any anger be directed solely towards him, sparing his partners and employees from any negative repercussions."

The Masked Singer airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
