Former American football star Tom Brady expressed regret over the impact of jokes made about him on his children during the Netflix show "The Greatest Roast of All Time".
The show, hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and livestreamed on Netflix on May 5, featured roasts about Brady's divorce from Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, his appearance, his two retirements, "Deflategate", and his FTX investment, among other sensitive topics.

On a recent episode of "The Pivot Podcast" with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark, and Channing Crowder, Tom Brady opened up about how the jokes about his divorce were upsetting to his family. The podcast was released on Tuesday.
“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,’ he said. “I didn’t like the way that it affected my kids.”

Brady and Bündchen’s divorce was a hot topic for jokes during the night, especially when Brady was seen taking a sip of his drink whenever it was brought up.
The ex-couple, who share two kids - Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11 - made a public announcement in October 2022 about their decision to separate.
Brady realized that the roast he made didn't turn out as he expected. He described it as a bittersweet moment when he realized that his actions had affected the people he cared about the most.
“It makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you’re naïve,” added Brady.

Brady, a legendary quarterback in the NFL, had an incredible 23-year career. He achieved the impressive feat of winning seven Super Bowl rings - six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Additionally, he is a five-time Super Bowl MVP and has won three NFL MVP awards.
Initially announcing his retirement in February 2022, Brady surprised fans by reversing his decision and returning to play for one final season with the Buccaneers before officially retiring last year.
Brady finally had the opportunity to speak up at the end of the roast. People had questioned why he had agreed to participate in the event. In response, Brady explained simply, "I can handle any criticism. I would have joined sooner, but I've been occupied with winning championships."
