Fortnite Chapter 5 may be bringing one of the most highly-anticipated collaborations in the game's history: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. While not yet confirmed, there are strong indicators, including new content added in the Chapter 5 patch and details in the season trailer.
One notable detail is a glowing manhole cover in the trailer, a nod to the Turtles' sewer home. Additionally, the season key art includes a copyright notice by Viacom, the parent company of Paramount Pictures, which owns the TMNT brand. Further evidence has emerged as Fortnite dataminers have analyzed the Chapter 5 files.
After getting some hands-on experience with Chapter 5, it appears that the manholes operate similarly to the old portal toilets—jump into one manhole and pop out of another one at a distant location. While this feature may not be inherently TMNT-related, dataminers have uncovered a TMNT lair in the game files that can be accessed through TMNT-branded manholes in the future.
The second image evokes strong Ninja Turtles vibes, iconic for their origin from glowing green ooze and love for pizza. As if that’s not convincing enough, there’s even graffiti found in the game files, visible at one of the train stations on the island.
After the collaboration between Fortnite and Paramount Pictures for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, fans were hopeful for a potential Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collab, considering that TMNT is owned by Paramount. However, with the latest TMNT theatrical film coming and going in August while Fortnite held a Jujutsu Kaisen event, hopes started to fade. But now it seems like the collaboration might actually be happening.
It's hard to determine when this collab will kick off since it hasn't been officially announced. However, if the Viacom copyright in the trailer is indeed related to TMNT, then it should happen this season, unless it gets canceled. It could be introduced as another mini-pass to end the season, or as part of Winterfest later this month, similar to the My Hero Academia event last December.

As a Gen Z netizen, I am incredibly excited about the potential collaboration between Fortnite and TMNT. I grew up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and have always been a fan of the franchise. I think it would be amazing to see the Turtles and their iconic world come to life in Fortnite. I can't wait to see what kind of skins, weapons, and other items will be available in the collaboration. I'm also curious to see how the TMNT characters will interact with the Fortnite world and its other characters.
However, I am also a bit skeptical about the collaboration. I've seen a lot of collaborations in Fortnite that have been disappointing. Sometimes the items are not very good, or the collaboration doesn't feel like it fits in with the game. I'm hoping that the TMNT collaboration will be different and that it will be something that fans of both franchises can enjoy. Overall, I'm excited about the potential of the TMNT and Fortnite collaboration, but I'm also cautiously optimistic. I'm hoping that it will be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
