Beyoncé refers to her stage identity as "Sasha Fierce," though her mother, Tina Knowles, has personally witnessed this fierce demeanor behind the scenes.
During a recent appearance on the Sherri show on October 31st, the 69-year-old Knowles revealed that she had a candid discussion with her 42-year-old daughter regarding her conduct backstage.
"We recently shared a laugh about this, as I remarked, 'Wow, you can really get sassy back there,' " Knowles chuckled. "I'm genuinely relieved that I no longer have to be in that position."
Knowles offered some perspective on Beyoncé's occasional "mean" behavior, explaining that it tends to occur "in the heat of the moment." He also mentioned that the singer of "Break My Soul" would often display remorse afterwards.
"When we leave, she will apologize saying, 'Momma, I'm so sorry.' And I'll respond, 'I know.' Sometimes she cries, and I think it's because she realizes she said something outrageous to us," Knowles shared.
Variety reported that the Renaissance World Tour concluded on October 1 in Kansas City, generating over $579 million in global earnings. Beyoncé entertained her fans with 56 shows in 39 cities, attracting nearly 3 million people from around the world.
Shepherd's Halloween show was a tribute to Beyoncé, where she meticulously recreated six costumes from Beyoncé's tour. Among the memorable moments of the Renaissance concerts was when Beyoncé's 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, surprised the audience by joining her mother on stage for a captivating dance routine. Blue Ivy showcased her talent during a medley of "My Power" and "Black Parade," and it took some persuading from her grandmother to convince Beyoncé that she was prepared to perform.
Witnessing the rehearsal of the girls, she expressed her readiness to step on stage. However, her mother initially refused, expressing doubt. Reflecting upon it, she declared, "If I put in the effort and truly bring my A-game, you'll allow me to perform once." Thus, it was intended to be a singular occurrence.
Blue Ivy's inaugural performance took place on May 26 in Paris, captivating an audience of 70,000 individuals. Her remarkable display was such that her initial "one-time" appearance transformed into a recurring highlight of the tour.
Knowles mentioned that her granddaughter's confidence flourished continuously, describing the experience as a truly remarkable one.
Jay-Z, the father of Blue Ivy, expressed to Gayle King on CBS Mornings that he experienced a shiver of excitement every time he watched his daughter showcase her dancing skills during Beyoncé's tour.
"She's been thrust into a life she never requested," expressed the Roc Nation chairman, aged 53, on Friday, October 26. "Ever since her birth, she's been relentlessly scrutinized and subjected to public scrutiny, with everyone voicing their opinions on even the way she maintains her hair. But for her to confidently take the spotlight and reclaim her authority, all while performing a song titled 'My Power,' it's like witnessing a perfectly crafted narrative unfold."
