Dewey Finn, played by Black, is an amateur rock enthusiast who cleverly takes over his friend's job as a substitute teacher. Despite lacking qualifications, he begins training the students to form a band.
The film has been adapted into a successful stage show and a brief TV series from 2016 to 2018.
Sarah Silverman, Joan Cusack, Mike White, and Miranda Cosgrove also appeared in the movie. One fan posted on Twitter, "Classic. Better than most modern films and the budget was probably minimal," in response to the news.
"The year is beginning wonderfully," another person chimed in, while a third mentioned, "I know what my first movie of the year will be."
"School of Rock probably teaches us a valuable lesson. It shows that rock music is a true passion and pursuit," added another fan.

As a Gen Z fan, I'm thrilled to see that Jack Black's iconic film "School of Rock" is now available on Netflix. Jack Black is a comedic genius, and his performance in this movie is truly legendary. The story is hilarious and heartwarming, and the music is catchy and fun. I remember watching this movie as a kid and absolutely loving it, and I'm sure that today's generation will enjoy it just as much.
I think it's great that Netflix is giving this classic film a second chance to shine. With so many new movies and TV shows coming out all the time, it can be easy for older films to get lost in the shuffle. But Netflix is making it possible for people to rediscover these gems, and I think that's a really positive thing. I can't wait to watch "School of Rock" again and relive all the laughs and good times.
