Tiger Woods brought his kids to work with him as he played the 2023 PNC Championship in Orlando on Saturday, December 16.
The official PGA Tour Instagram account shared a post announcing that Sam Woods is caddying for her father for the first time, showing the 16-year-old assisting her dad in club selection. At the same time, Woods' 14-year-old son Charlie is playing with his father for the third consecutive year. The PNC Championship, previously called the Father/Son Tournament, allows professional golfers to compete alongside a family member, marking Sam Woods' debut appearance in the game.
Wood enthusiastically shared with reporters at the game, as reported by CBS Sports, "Sam was absolutely amazing. This was her first time doing something like this, so it was an incredibly special experience for all of us."
He went on to express, "Having both of my kids out on the course, participating, playing, and being involved in the game of golf like this was truly a unique and precious moment for me. While we often have fun and banter at home, doing it in a tournament setting made it even more meaningful."

Though there is still one more day left in the tournament, Charlie and his father weren’t thrilled with their performance so far.
"Today, I hit the ball really well," Charlie remarked. "Didn't miss a single fairway and still managed to score 8-under. It's just the putting that we struggle with."
His dad agreed, "That pretty much sums it up."
Tiger Woods, pictured above, shares children Sam and Charlie with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren. The couple split in 2009 after six years of marriage following Woods' involvement in multiple affairs. He sought treatment for sex addiction in the midst of the scandal.
Years after the cheating scandal, Woods told TIME in December 2015 that he and Nordegren had developed a great relationship as close friends and co-parents. "The relationship I have with her now is amazing," he said. "We can call each other all the time and talk about our lives. We support each other and work through parenting issues with the kids. She's now one of my best friends, all because of my kids."
In March, a source told We that the couple was able to move forward from their split because they prioritized their children.

According to a source, "Tiger and Elin are genuinely in a wonderful place. He has been incredibly supportive with the children, and that has helped Elin to develop a friendship with Tiger."
Nordegren has now found happiness with former football professional Jordan Cameron. Their son, Arthur, was born in October 2019. (Cameron, a former Miami Dolphins player, is also a father to son Tristan from a previous relationship.)
