Tia Mowry shared a look into the challenges and triumphs she has experienced since her split from Cory Hardrict in the previous year. She posted an Instagram video essay on Wednesday, April 3, showcasing moments from her life with the caption: "Resilience: the art of bouncing back, stronger than before. ️"
Mowry, who ended her marriage to Hardrict, 44, after more than a decade together, discussed the challenges she faced after the divorce.
In a voiceover, she shared, "Recovering from a divorce can feel like a whirlwind journey. I learned that divorce is not a destination, but rather the beginning of a new chapter in life filled with different experiences, and there is no one-size-fits-all guidebook."
The social media post showed adorable moments of Mowry and Hardrict's children, son Cree, 12, and daughter Cairo, 5.
"It's like one minute you feel a sense of relief, thinking you've overcome something big, and then the next moment all the emotions come rushing back," she shared. "Dealing with divorce, especially when there are children, brings up a lot of feelings that people don't always talk about."

Mowry kept talking about the importance of being a role model for others. You teach them how to bounce back from tough times and take care of themselves. You explore various ways to calm yourself down and let go of pent-up emotions. This may include working out, writing in a journal, practicing meditation, and talking to a therapist to deal with the heartbreak and shattered dreams.
Towards the end of the video, Mowry's emotions became more evident.
"I believe that one day, I will be able to reflect on this time with warmth and gratitude. The beautiful children that have come into my life and the stronger version of myself that has emerged from this experience will be my sources of joy," she expressed. "If you are going through a similar situation, I would like to hear your story. There is strength in sharing our experiences."
Tia Mowry encouraged others to open up about their experiences, stating, "By sharing our stories as women, we reclaim our power and release any shame we may carry. I appreciate all of you. Love, Tia."
In October 2022, the actress confirmed that she and Hardrict had decided to part ways. Their divorce was finalized in April 2023.
Via Instagram, she shared, "I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives."
The couple got married in 2008 after being together for eight years. They had a son named Cree in 2011 and a daughter named Cairo in 2018. Even after their separation, Mowry has shared how she and Hardrict prioritize co-parenting.
Mowry revealed, "I talk to Cory every day. We always express our love for each other. He is and will always be a part of our family and will be in our lives forever."
