Tia Mowry, 45, took to Instagram on Saturday, October 7, to address the speculation surrounding her dating life. In response to narratives being created without her consent, she wanted to set the record straight. Mowry expressed that while entering the dating scene again has been challenging, she has no intention of rekindling a past relationship that no longer fulfilled her.
She continued, saying, "If I don't secure an audition or a role as an actor immediately, I won't abandon my dreams. So please, just move on. I'm not that fragile. I have already moved forward. Thank you, NEXT."
In October 2022, the Sister, Sister alum revealed her separation from Cory Hardrict after being married for 14 years. Mowry filed for divorce a week later, and it was eventually finalized in April.
"It was a challenging experience. I often express to those close to me, 'This is not meant for the faint-hearted.' It is incredibly difficult," Mowry shared exclusively with We in November 2022 regarding her journey through her breakup. "I believe that when you consistently focus on personal growth, self-love, and self-worth, the decision becomes clearer. Once you are in touch with yourself, it becomes easier to make that choice. However, that doesn't mean it's not tough. It was very challenging because there were numerous factors to consider."

Mowry expressed her positive outlook, stating that there are more good days than bad days and that her children are thriving. She also emphasized the strong bond she maintains with Cory, speaking to him daily and expressing their love for each other. While they will always be family, they have established boundaries regarding dating. Court documents have been signed stating that their children can only meet a new romantic partner after a six-month exclusive relationship, and overnight visits are not permitted when the children are at their house.
Two months later, Mowry documented one of her initial dates after finalizing the divorce. In August, she wrote on Instagram, "Well, I never thought I'd find myself here, but here I am..." She shared that she had never been in the dating scene before and expressed her nerves and fear of entering this new phase in her life, despite being in her 40s.
She acknowledged that it would be tempting to give up and avoid potential awkwardness and pain, but she had faith in God's plan for her. Mowry encouraged others who were apprehensive about new experiences to stay strong and assured them that they were not alone in this journey.
