Coming on as a substitute in the 88th minute, Mead made her first appearance since her serious knee injury, which caused her to miss the Women's World Cup with England in November. Her introduction sparked the comeback, with Katie McCabe equalizing in the second minute of stoppage time after a great assist from Caitlin Foord.

Arsenal feared their victory slipped away as Stina Blackstenius dashed towards the goal and managed to hit the post. However, their savior emerged just two minutes after their equalizer.

It was unfortunate for Villa and Van Domselaar, who had brilliantly denied Foord by deflecting her shot onto the post earlier in the match, as Arsenal secured a narrow victory.

Manchester United played against a resilient Leicester on Sunday afternoon and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Maya Le Tissier scored an equalizer in the second half to cancel out Aileen Whelan's opening goal. At the hour mark, the visitors took the lead as Whelan skillfully tapped in Courtney Nevin's lofted free-kick from the back post.

The unmarked midfielder displayed exceptional precision, outmaneuvering Mary Earps and elegantly sweeping the ball into Janina Leitzig's net. Le Tissier quickly remedied the situation by deftly redirecting Katie Zelem's delivery into the far corner, levelling the score seven minutes later.

Marc Skinner's biggest concern will likely be that his team has given up the first goal in all three of their WSL matches this season, and also fell behind to PSG in their midweek Champions League qualifier.

Leicester has fallen to second place in the standings, while United sits in fifth. This setback will have a significant impact on their quest for their first-ever WSL title, despite their commendable ability to bounce back and their fighting spirit.

Roord, Shaw doubles as Man City rout Robins

Man City dominated Bristol City at the Joie Stadium, securing a remarkable 5-0 victory by scoring all their goals in the first half.

Within just nine minutes, Jill Roord initiated the scoring. Khadija Shaw unleashed a powerful shot that hit the underside of the crossbar, leaving uncertainty as to whether it crossed the line. Nevertheless, Roord positioned herself at the rear post and confidently headed the ball into the net.

Man City kept up the pressure on their opponents, and after 25 minutes, they scored a captivating goal. Laia Aleixandri beautifully directed a header into the net, capitalizing on an excellent free kick delivered by Alex Greenwood.

Before long, Shaw managed to register her first goal of the season in the WSL. Mary Fowler sent in a tempting cross from the right, and the Jamaican international displayed remarkable strength as she efficiently headed the ball into the back of the net.

But the excitement didn't end there. As the referee displayed six minutes of added time, the tension in the air grew. Man City's players positioned themselves, eagerly anticipating the forthcoming action. Suddenly, a perfectly placed cross from Fowler soared in from the left, setting the stage for Roord. Defying her opponents, she skillfully rose above them and gracefully headed the ball into the net, marking her second goal of the afternoon.

Shaw rounded off the first half with the final move, a less fluid header as she connected with Chloe Kelly's cross, compounding Bristol City's troubles.

The Robins showed a better performance in the second half - managing to prevent any further goals and even forcing a few saves from Khiara Keating - but failed to generate enough momentum for a remarkable comeback.

It leaves Bristol City rooted to the bottom of the WSL table with no points yet this season. Man City are joint-top on seven points with Leicester and Chelsea.
