A perfect match from Georgia! Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her husband, Kroy Biermann, were together for more than ten years before she initially filed for divorce in May 2023, only to later withdraw the request.
When fans of Bravo first encountered the “House of Kim” podcast host in season 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was in a relationship with a man known at the time as "Big Poppa" (later revealed to be Lee Najjar). However, by season 3, Big Poppa was no longer in the picture, and the reality star had solely focused on Biermann.
The Florida native and former NFL player met for the first time at a charity event called Dancing Stars of Atlanta, which was filmed for season 3 of RHOA. Upon their first meeting, Zolciak-Bermann expressed her admiration for her future husband's physique, saying, "I've never seen an ass like that in my life. I had to tell you. Adorable."
Despite the bold comment, the former Atlanta Falcons linebacker wasn't bothered and they began dating shortly after. Eventually, they got married in November 2011 and their wedding was also documented on camera for a RHOA spinoff called Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding.
The show, originally named Don't Be Tardy, aired for eight seasons and followed the life of the famous singer behind "Tardy for the Party" as she and her husband managed their personal and professional lives while expanding their family. In 2011 and 2012, they welcomed their sons KJ and Kash, and in 2013, they had twin daughters named Kaia and Kane. Additionally, Zolciak-Biermann legally adopted her two daughters, Brielle and Ariana, from previous relationships in July 2013.
Bravo terminated the family's reality show in May 2021. However, according to an insider, Zolciak-Biermann was prepared to move forward.
"Kim is not saddened by the cancellation of Don't Be Tardy. Although it is emotional due to the show's lengthy filming period and the memories they made, she views this as a positive transition," the source stated. "She considers herself liberated after being in a 13-year-long commitment, allowing her to pursue other projects she has aspired to."
Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann, though no longer appearing on TV, openly express their affection for each other on social media. In a November 2021 Instagram post celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, Zolciak-Biermann praised her husband as her ride or die, best friend, and an exceptional husband and father. She declared her love for him with deep sincerity. Now, let's take a look back at the complete timeline of Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann's relationship.

Kim and Kroy ended their 11-year marriage when Kim filed for divorce, citing April 30, 2023, as the date of their separation.
Shortly after, an exclusive source disclosed that their relationship had reached a breaking point due to "financial issues." It had been previously reported by TMZ that the couple had accumulated more than $1.1 million in unpaid taxes. The source emphasized that these financial burdens had put a significant strain on their relationship, stating that the tax debt was the final blow that led to the end of their marriage.
Days later, Kim posted her first Instagram photo after the split, where she conspicuously abandoned her wedding ring. Additionally, both Kim and her ex decided to unfollow each other on social media. In a subsequent legal motion, Kim requested that her former partner undergo a drug test. The official documents stated that Kim had allegedly witnessed Kroy "smoking marijuana" and expressed grave concerns about the safety and well-being of their children while they were under his care.
