Being the only original Beverly Hills Housewife remaining, Kyle Richards has experienced numerous ups and downs on television. However, she wouldn't trade it for anything else. "After 13 seasons, this show has become an integral part of my life," reveals Richards, aged 54, in an exclusive interview with We. "It's difficult to imagine my life without these meaningful relationships."
Richards was a member of the original cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which premiered on Bravo in October 2010. Throughout her decade-long tenure on television, she has been known to speak candidly, allowing cameras to capture her past conflicts with sisters Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton, as well as moments of joy such as her daughter Portia's bat mitzvah.
Although the 13th season of the show won't premiere until Wednesday, October 25th, it appears evident that Kyle has not shied away from discussing the more challenging aspects of her life. Promotional trailers for the upcoming episodes have focused on her separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, whom she married in 1996.

“We may reside in Beverly Hills and appear on a reality show, but we are just ordinary individuals,” she clarifies. “Audiences have witnessed countless remarkable moments with my family throughout the years. My fondest memories are the milestones with my children, like capturing Portia’s third birthday on camera during season two and now seeing her in her second year of high school! It's truly special to have all of those significant moments preserved on film."
Similar to other Real Housewives, Kyle juggles multiple commitments alongside her reality TV career. Aside from being an actress — she had a prominent role in last year’s Halloween Ends and will be appearing in the upcoming Christmas movie The Holiday Exchange — she is also a producer. At present, she is "extremely thrilled" about several scripted projects she is actively involved in. “I thoroughly enjoy having a creative role both behind and in front of the camera,” she shares with Us. “I have been acting since childhood, so I have no intention of giving that up.”
Despite the pressure, which has caused many others to falter, Kyle perseveres through feuds, changes in the cast, and repeated attempts to tarnish her character. When asked about her reality TV legacy, she simply wants people to recognize her for always being genuine and true to herself. While a Real Housewives Hall of Fame does not exist presently, Kyle would undoubtedly be its inaugural inductee.
