During his "New Heights" podcast in July, 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end expressed his interest in 33-year-old Swift. He mentioned attempting to exchange numbers at her Eras Tour concert in Missouri, but was unsuccessful. Kelce then extended an invitation to Swift to witness his performance at the Chief's Arrowhead Stadium, where her own summer concert took place in Kansas City. On September 24, the Grammy winner attended the Chiefs' home game and enjoyed the company of Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, in his private box.

Travis excitedly shared with his older brother, Jason Kelce, on their podcast in September, about how everyone in the suite had nothing but praise for her.
