In Final Fantasy 16, players will join Clive Rosfield as he embarks on a captivating journey through the stunning world of Valisthea. Along the way, Clive will come across a diverse range of intriguing characters, some of whom will become his allies, while others will pose as formidable adversaries. To overcome the challenges presented by the latter, Clive will need to engage in swift and strategic combat. However, when encountering the friendly characters, Clive may be tasked with completing side quests to further enhance his adventure.
During the main quest "Righting Wrongs" in Final Fantasy 16, Clive revisits The Hideaway, a pivotal location in the game. It is here that he discovers two additional side quests that he can embark on. After engaging in a conversation with Cid in Cid's Solar, Clive gains the freedom to undertake these quests by seeking out the specific individuals who assigned them. To initiate the "Red Letter Day" side quest, Clive must locate and interact with an NPC named Glenn.
How To Start Red Letter Day In Final Fantasy 16
After players unlock the objective to "Speak with Charon" in the Righting Wrongs main quest, they have the option to visit The Bunks area of The Hideaway where they will encounter Glenn, the Courier. During the conversation with Glenn, Clive discovers that he is in a difficult situation as he has lost some highly valuable items and needs to recover them urgently. Once the quest is accepted, Clive can embark on the mission to locate the missing items.
Following the conclusion of the conversation, players should access the world map and use the fast-travel feature to reach Orabelle Downs, located just northeast of The Hideaway. As soon as Clive arrives, he will be confronted with three green quest markers, each indicating the approximate location of one of Glenn's lost items.
All Missing Item Locations
Though the size of the green circles on the map may appear overwhelming initially, locating all of Glenn's misplaced belongings is actually quite manageable since they are all fairly conspicuous. Nonetheless, it might still require some time to find certain items if players commence their search in incorrect regions.
The First Missing Item
After Clive appears in Orabelle Downs, he can head northeast along the dirt path to find the initial item that is missing. To collect the item, simply stand beside it and hold down the X button.
The Second Missing Item
Continuing along the dirt path while ignoring the path to the right, Clive will find an opening in the fence to his right. The second lost item can be found here.
The Third Missing Item
The third item is located farther up the dirt path. Clive should disregard both the left and right turns and instead, he needs to stick to the stone wall on his left until it starts to curve. At this point, he will spot the third missing item on the ground beside a cluster of large rocks.
Cid's Letter
In order for players to return to Glenn, they are required to uncover the whereabouts of Cid's letter. To achieve this, Clive needs to continue his journey towards the northeast along the dirt path and engage in conversation with the nearby yard hand. The yard hand will then disclose that she recently witnessed a dog carrying something in its mouth, heading towards Lostwing. This prompts the protagonist to initiate an investigation.
Upon arriving in Lostwing, Clive can continue his journey by heading straight ahead and ascending the stairs on his right. This will lead him to the opposite side of the pond. On the left side of the expansive wooden house, he will come across a playful dog, who happens to be in possession of Cid's Letter.

After retrieving Cid's Letter from the dog that had taken it, Clive can make his way back to The Hideaway and approach Glenn to mark the quest as finished. Expressing gratitude for Clive's assistance, Glenn proceeds to share a short anecdote regarding Cid's daughter.
Upon concluding their conversation, Clive is rewarded with 20 Wyrrites and 10 Sharp Fangs, valuable resources that can be utilized for crafting and enhancing equipment.
