Although AEW Fight Forever may be missing certain essential elements, fans of wrestling will be delighted to uncover hidden moves and mechanics not covered in the tutorials. For instance, players can even engage in the unique gesture of shaking their opponent's hand after a grueling battle in AEW Fight Forever.
How to Shake Hands After a Match in AEW Fight Forever
The inclusion of bailouts, corner recoils, technician skills, and chain wrestling in AEW Fight Forever enhances the overall enjoyment of this wrestling game. Additionally, players have the option to shake hands with their opponent as a gesture of sportsmanship after a match. This feature is available in both single-player and multiplayer modes, whether played locally or online. To initiate a post-match handshake after a victory, follow these steps:
1. Choose a 1-on-1 exhibition match type featuring two wrestlers who do not possess any title belts. This handshake feature does not function in Ladder Matches, Barbed Wire matches, or with tag teams.
The player must win the match to trigger the after-match event.
Click the R-stick or press the spacebar on a keyboard after winning.
Players must shake the wrestler's hand within a designated time limit following the match.
To initiate the handshake, lift the opponent off the mat using the RB button on Xbox, R1 on PlayStation, R on the Switch, or the R button on a keyboard.
With both wrestlers standing, hold down the Grapple Guard button with LB on Xbox, L1 on PlayStation, L on Switch, or F button on a keyboard.
The wrestler offers their hand for a friendly handshake. Approach the opponent while pressing the Grapple Guard button until they agree to shake hands. This will initiate a brief cutscene depicting the wrestler's handshake.
However, certain rule-breaking wrestlers like MJF may deceive by offering their hand only to launch a surprise attack on the player's wrestler.
Attacking After the Bell in AEW Fight Forever
To take the unsportsmanlike route, players can opt for attacking a wrestler instead of exchanging handshakes after the bell. Follow these steps:
1. Select a 1-on-1 exhibition match. This technique is not applicable for tag teams or gimmick matches.
After winning the bout, click the R-stick or press the spacebar on the keyboard.
Players now have a time limit to attack the wrestler after the bell.
Alternatively, one can deceive the opponent with a simulated handshake, only to swiftly transition into a counterattack using the Grapple Guard and follow up with a strike or grapple move. It's important to note that this maneuver does not initiate a rivalry as seen in WWE 2K23, but it adds an enjoyable element for players to employ in both single-player and multiplayer bouts.
AEW Fight Forever is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
