Content: AEW prides itself on offering a different wrestling experience compared to WWE, with a focus on hardcore matches reminiscent of ECW. This is evident in the playable gimmick matches featured in AEW Fight Forever, such as Exploding Barbed Wire and Falls Count Anywhere.
For fans who don't necessarily enjoy the extreme nature of these matches, they can still find a lot of enjoyment in recreating them in video games. AEW Fight Forever allows players to engage in Falls Count Anywhere matches where they can violently attack their opponents by forcefully throwing them through the guard rails and barriers surrounding the ring. This guide will assist fans in learning how to execute this move in AEW Fight Forever.
How To Slam An Opponent Through The Guardrail in AEW Fight Forever
To consistently execute the move of slamming opponents through the barricade/guardrail in AEW Fight Forever, players need to carefully choose the appropriate match types and position their AEW wrestlers accordingly. Follow the steps below for successful execution every time:
Select a match variant that permits AEW wrestlers to engage in combat beyond the confines of the ring, exempting them from the risk of being disqualified due to countouts, such as a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Opt for a preferred AEW wrestler who excels in vigorous matches of a more extreme nature, similar to the caliber of Jon Moxley and Lance Archer. Alternatively, wrestlers showcasing impressive statistics, like Kenny Omega, can also seamlessly execute these maneuvers.
At the start of the match, prioritize weakening the opponent and reducing their momentum to a critical level. Otherwise, they might counter the move and potentially strike the wrestler instead.
To Irish Whip opponents outside the ring, press LT on PlayStation, L2 on Xbox, or LZ on the Switch near the ropes. Alternatively, you can grapple them first by holding down the X button on PS, A button on Xbox, or B on the Switch, and then perform a long press on the LT/L2/LZ button to throw them outside.
Alternatively, attack them near the ropes so they lean stunned against them. Run at them with the Circle/B/A button to throw them over the ropes to the outside.
At Ringside
With the opponent outside the ring, light-whip them into the barrier with the RT/R2/RZ button or strong-whip with LT/L2/LZ.
The opponent should be stunned against the guardrail.
There is a small window of opportunity to grab them with the A/X/B button to execute the slam through the guardrail.
The action can be repeated with other guardrails surrounding the ring.
AEW Fight Forever launches on June 29 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
