In the distant past, the Order of Wizards descended upon Middle Earth to combat the malevolence of Sauron. Which Wizards Were In Middle Earth?

There is limited information regarding their activities in the East, but if they had pursued evil intentions, it is likely that it would have been revealed at some point.

The exploits of Gandalf the Grey have become widely known due to his significant role in both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. As a formidable wizard, he played a crucial part in the destruction of the One Ring, leading to the downfall of Sauron, and in the defeat of the mighty dragon Smaug. Though not yet possessing his ultimate powers, Gandalf was a force to be reckoned with. Throughout his existence, he relentlessly sought to thwart Sauron, making him the sole wizard who directly contributed to the meaningful success achieved thus far.
