The Worst Generation, currently a formidable and influential group in the world of One Piece, holds significant sway over the balance of power, particularly in the treacherous New World during the New Age.
A potent Devil Fruit ability alone is insufficient for survival in these perilous waters. Mastery of Haki is vital for these pirates as they navigate the challenges of the New World. While many of them have honed their Haki to its fullest potential, there are still some who have room for improvement. Though most possess Haki, not all have reached its pinnacle of mastery.
This list will only include members of the Worst Generation who are confirmed to be Haki users. As such, Bege, Bonney, and Urouge are not included.
9 Hawkins
Basil Hawkins, a captain of the Worst Generation, was recently spotted amongst Kaido's Beast Pirates. He participated in the Wano War and showed promising skills during his battle against Killer. However, unfortunately, he ultimately found himself on the losing side.
Hawkins's ability to wield Armament Haki falls short of being remarkable, as he merely possesses a limited proficiency in utilizing any unique Haki techniques. His Haki proficiency can be classified as average at most, and he primarily relies on his Devil Fruit abilities during combat.
8 Apoo
Apoo is, surprisingly, a decent user of Haki. He possesses the power to use both Armament and Observation Haki and he has shown these abilities throughout Wano extensively.
7 Killer
: Although he may not be the most proficient in using Haki, he has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to effectively defend himself against formidable attacks, as exemplified in the Onigashima War. This was particularly evident when he faced off against CP0, having already engaged in combat with Drake.
Killer, the right-hand man of Eustass Kid, stands out among the members of the Worst Generation. Unlike the other Captains, he does not hold a Captain's rank, making him one of the only two members in this group with such a distinction. In battle, Killer wields his infamous supersonic scythes known as Punishers. Additionally, he possesses the formidable ability to utilize Armament Haki, although he has yet to fully tap into this potential.
6 Drake
: His Haki pales in comparison to Zoro's, evident from their clash at Oihagi Bridge. Although he unleashed powerful supersonic waves in his battle against Kaido, his proficiency in Haki was noticeably lacking.
Among the Worst Generation, Drake stands out as a formidable practitioner of Haki. His mastery extends to both Armament and Observation Haki, enabling him to excel in combat. Notably, Drake showcased his proficiency in these abilities during his confrontation with Caribou, successfully subduing him. Moreover, he further showcased the extent of his Haki prowess in the intense Onigashima War.
Whether Drake powered up his X-Calibur with Haki or not remains to be seen, however, either way, his Haki appears to be powerful enough for the New World.
5 Kid
Despite being one of the rare characters in One Piece who possesses all three types of Haki, Kid surprises fans by not specializing in any of them. Instead, he relies heavily on his exceptional mastery of his Devil Fruit powers, which he has already awakened.
That being said, Kid is, without a doubt, proficient in both Armament and Observation Haki, as evidenced by his ability to endure the relentless attacks of Big Mom and even inflict significant injuries upon her.
4 Law
Trafalgar Law, known as the Surgeon of Death, shares a similar expertise in Devil Fruit abilities as Kid. However, Law's talents extend beyond his mastery of Devil Fruit powers, as he has also demonstrated proficiency in Haki. Throughout his adventures, Law has utilized Haki on multiple occasions, indicating steady progression in honing this particular skill.
3 Blackbeard
Law has repeatedly demonstrated this ability throughout the Onigashima War, showcasing his remarkable growth in Haki following the intense conflict in Wano. His exceptional mastery of Haki allows him to effortlessly counteract the effects of Devil Fruit powers by radiating an immense amount of it. Additionally, Law has displayed exceptional proficiency in Observation Haki, solidifying his status as one of the most skilled Haki users within the Worst Generation.
Blackbeard's prowess extends beyond his Devil Fruit powers, encompassing his formidable Haki abilities. Although he has yet to demonstrate the use of Conqueror's Haki, his mastery of Armament and Observation Haki is truly awe-inspiring.
Blackbeard, with remarkable ease, managed to halt a formidable strike that had the potential to cleave mountains in two - all with a mere extension of his forearm whilst on Amazon Lily. As for Observation Haki, he has honed this talent to such an extent that he effortlessly discerns power levels and the burgeoning strength of Haki during combat.
2 Zoro
Zoro is exceptionally skilled in Haki, demonstrating mastery over all three types. His proficiency in Observation Haki is commendable, but it is his extraordinary control over Armament Haki that truly sets him apart. Recently, Zoro has unlocked the incredible power of Conqueror's Haki, further elevating his already formidable abilities.
Zoro demonstrates the ability to manifest advanced versions of both Armament and Conqueror's Haki, particularly evident during his intense clash against the raging wildfire in the Wano arc. Although he has yet to attain complete mastery over these formidable techniques, Zoro undoubtedly possesses the potential for further growth and refinement on his path to achieving greatness.
1 Luffy
Luffy stands out as the unrivaled powerhouse among the Worst Generation, proudly wielding the formidable prowess of Haki. With his unwavering command over all three Haki types, Luffy has achieved an exceptional level of mastery. His ability to peer into the future, employ the potent Internal Destruction Ryuo, and infuse his very being with the awe-inspiring Color of the Supreme King, empowers him to assail adversaries with relentless force and skillfully ward off formidable assaults.
Luffy's Haki is only going to grow even stronger and, in Wano, it proved to be great enough to fight in a one-on-one battle against Kaido and, eventually, even overpower him.
