To celebrate the 1000th English Dub anime episode of One Piece, TOEI Animation and Crunchyroll are thrilled to announce that they will be co-hosting a world premiere event at the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live Rooftop Terrace on July 2, 2023. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans, with free admission and a range of exciting activities. Alongside the screening of the milestone episode, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet the English dub voice actors, including Ian Sinclair, Sonny Strait, and Patrick Sietz. Fans can also look forward to live drawing showcases, a Q&A session with the animators, and an impressive display of the Luffy and Shanks statue. Additionally, participants will have the chance to try out the One Piece Card Game and One Piece Odyssey, among other surprises in store.

The 1000th episode of One Piece was first released in its original Japanese version as part of the anime's 20th season on November 21, 2021. As is typical in the world of anime, the dubbed version of a series usually takes longer to release than the subtitled version. This is because dubbing requires significantly more time, especially for a series with numerous episodes like One Piece. Publishers therefore prioritize releasing the subtitled version first, allowing fans to enjoy the latest episodes sooner.

With 1064 episodes already under its belt, the original Japanese version of One Piece shows no signs of slowing down. The current season, season 20, is the longest in the show's history with 173 episodes and counting, as Luffy faces off against Thousand Beast Kaido in the Wano Country Arc. However, as the show typically focuses on one story arc per season, it's likely that this season will come to a close soon. While there are other anime series that have produced even more episodes than One Piece, such as Doraemon and Oyako Club, One Piece remains the most popular by far.
