Summary
Stranger Things
The fifth season will conclude the series, providing closure for both major and minor characters. Holly, the youngest sibling of the Wheeler family, will have an opportunity to showcase her abilities and play a role in defeating Vecna during season 5.
Minor characters such as Lonnie Byers and Mr. Clarke are expected to make a return in Stranger Things season 5, providing resolution to their storylines and aiding in the endeavor to rescue Hawkins. As the popular Netflix series reaches its conclusion, fans eagerly anticipate discovering the fate of the Hawkins gang, with the hope that closure will be granted to these secondary characters. The thrilling conclusion of Stranger Things season 4 left Eleven and her friends facing the daunting task of protecting Hawkins from the ongoing threat of the Upside Down. With the formidable presence of Vecna still looming, their mission will prove challenging. Additionally, the absence of Max, a vital member of the group, who remains unconscious, adds further complexity to their mission.
10 Holly Wheeler
Needless to mention, the Hawkins crew will face numerous challenges in Stranger Things season 5. Furthermore, the ultimate season of the show will bear the responsibility of providing all the characters from the Stranger Things cast with appropriate and satisfying conclusions. Considering the extensive ensemble, it will prove to be quite a task to tie up loose ends for each main character. Additionally, there are a few minor characters in the Netflix series who also deserve some closure. It is hoped that viewers will have the opportunity to see them once more before the final season concludes.Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) have consistently played significant roles throughout every season of Stranger Things. However, Holly, the youngest sibling of the Wheeler family, is yet to have her moment to shine. When the Netflix series kicks off, Holly is merely three years old. Yet, over the past few seasons, she has undeniably grown both in age and character development. Considering that Lucas' (Caleb McLaughlin) sister Erica (Priah Ferguson) and Max's brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery) have had their time in the spotlight, it is only fair that Holly receives more substantial involvement in Stranger Things' anticipated fifth season. Perchance, she will astonish the gang with some invaluable knowledge that may aid them in defeating Vecna.
9 Lonnie Byers
8 Mr. Clarke
: Lonnie Byers' brief appearance in Stranger Things season 1 left fans wanting more. With both of his sons, Will and Jonathan, deeply involved in the danger surrounding Hawkins, it only makes sense for Lonnie to make a grand return in Stranger Things season 5. Not only would this bring closure to his earlier storyline, but it would also allow the Byers to embrace Hopper and Eleven as their new family.
In Stranger Things, Mr. Clarke (played by Randy Havens) is the science teacher at Hawkins High who frequently aids Mike and his friends throughout the first three seasons. However, he is absent in season 4 as the group transitions from middle school to high school. Nevertheless, considering the impending danger looming over Hawkins, it would make sense for Stranger Things season 5 to find a way to reintroduce Mr. Clarke. After all, he undoubtedly shares the same determination as his former students in protecting their beloved town.
7 Ms. Kelley
Stranger Things season 4 hints at a potential link between Vecna and Hawkins High's guidance counselor, Ms. Kelley (Regina Ting Chen), but unfortunately, the show does not explore this character further. According to one theory for Stranger Things season 5, Ms. Kelley could play a crucial role in Vecna's comeback to Hawkins. This explanation would justify her sudden appearance and the villain's interest in the students associated with her. Considering Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) is still grieving the loss of Eddie (Joseph Quinn) in Stranger Things season 5, there is a chance he might encounter Ms. Kelley in the forthcoming episodes, which could expand her role significantly.
6 Suzie Bingham
Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo), Dustin's girlfriend in Stranger Things seasons 3 and 4, proves to be a valuable asset to the group. In the upcoming season 5, she is expected to play a crucial role in defeating Vecna. If the Upside Down poses a threat beyond Hawkins, Suzie will be motivated to lend her assistance, especially considering Dustin's vulnerability and potential targeting by Vecna. Therefore, it is highly likely that Suzie will make a return for season 5.
5 Eden Bingham
When Mike and his friends arrive at the Bingham residence in search of Suzie (and more importantly, NINA), they unexpectedly run into Suzie's siblings, including Eden (Audrey Holcomb). Eden possesses a spirited personality that would seamlessly fit in with the rest of the Stranger Things crew. Although Season 4 doesn't offer much insight into Eden's character, there is potential for her to have a significant role in Stranger Things season 5. If the concluding episodes involve Suzie returning to rescue Hawkins, it wouldn't be far-fetched to incorporate her sister into the storyline. Perhaps she may even form a connection with Argyle (Eduardo Franco) before the series reaches its conclusion.
4 Chrissy Cunningham
Despite her short and tragic appearance in season 4 of Stranger Things, Chrissy (Grace Van Dien) has quickly become a beloved character among fans. Although she has passed away, there are opportunities for Stranger Things to bring her character back for the final season. One possibility is using flashbacks, although it is uncertain which significant character might recall Chrissy's life. Another more logical way for Stranger Things season 5 to include a Chrissy cameo is through the Upside Down or Vecna. In season 4, the villain offers Nancy a glimpse of Barb (Shannon Purser), so it is likely he could conjure an undead Chrissy or Eddie as well.
3 Kali Prasad
Stranger Things season 2 introduces a subplot in which Eleven encounters her sibling, Kali (played by Linnea Berthelsen). However, Kali's character does not make any further appearances beyond the second season. This is somewhat peculiar, particularly when considering that Kali should have been part of Eleven's flashbacks throughout Stranger Things season 4. The absence of Kali from the Rainbow Room brings about a plot hole in Stranger Things, raising questions about why she wasn't affected by Vecna's massacre. In order to address this issue, Stranger Things season 5 must bring back Kali and provide an explanation.
2 Terry Ives
When it comes to delving into Eleven's family, Stranger Things never fully dives in. The show gives us a glimpse into what happens to Eleven's mother, Terry Ives (Aimee Mullins), after she tries to rescue her daughter from Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine). Sadly, Brenner's actions leave Terry in a state of catatonia, making it unlikely for us to see her in the present-day timeline of Stranger Things. However, as the final seasons of the show concentrate more on Eleven and her past, it would be fitting for Terry to make a return in a flashback. Perhaps the death of Brenner will trigger new memories and emotions for Eleven.
1 Vickie
In Stranger Things season 4, Robin (Maya Hawke) develops an interest in a student named Vickie (Amybeth McNulty), but their relationship doesn't progress beyond that. It's unfortunate, considering that Stranger Things dedicates time to explore Robin's sexuality during her coming out scene in season 3. Robin deserves a satisfying conclusion, and while a romantic relationship may not be necessary for that, it would be great to see her connect with someone like Vickie. Almost everyone else in the Stranger Things group has found a partner, and it would be fitting for Robin to have that opportunity in season 5.
