Overwatch 2's fifth season update has arrived, and it brings with it a refreshed Battle Pass featuring the new Questwatch theme, complete with a range of exciting rewards. Players can earn the Slime Queen Echo and Rogue Kiriko skin through the Battle Pass, with Premium Pass holders unlocking a host of others, including the highly coveted Mythic Skin for Overwatch 2 Season 5 - Adventurer Tracer, as well as Demon Lord Reinhardt and Royal Guard Genji.
Alongside the Battle Pass, Overwatch 2 Season 5 brings some substantial changes to the game. While there are no new heroes being introduced, several existing heroes are being tweaked, with buffs to Roadhog and Lifeweaver, and nerfs to Junker Queen, Widowmaker, and Hanzo. Additionally, Mei and Cassidy's crowd control effects have been adjusted. The update also brings new lighting variants for Busan and Rialto maps, as well as a complete rework of Gibraltar. Finally, the popular On Fire mechanic from Overwatch 1 has been reintroduced with new features designed to make it even more engaging.
Overwatch 2 Season 5 promises players a plethora of thrilling game modes, including two new arcade events: a custom workshop game mode and the exciting scavenger hunt, Mischief and Magic. Along with the much-anticipated return of the Summer Games featuring the classic Lucioball and the new Winston's Beach Volleyball, players have plenty to look forward to.
Despite only just beginning, Season 5 has already teased its successor, Overwatch 2: Invasion. This season's biggest update yet, Invasion brings a long-awaited PvE content, with three story missions revolving around a new Null Sector attack and the reformation of the Overwatch group. Players can also expect a new PvP game mode, a co-op event, and Hero Mastery solo challenges. As if that wasn't enough, Season 6 is introducing a mysterious new Support hero to the roster. With Season 6 likely arriving in August, players have ample time to enjoy Season 5's offerings while eagerly anticipating the upcoming update.
