Yukong, a buffer in Honkai: Star Rail, offers a substantial buff value to players. However, the effectiveness of this buff is highly restricted, making it imperative for players to carefully plan their strategies in order to maximize its potential. Fortunately, the focus in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 lies more on strategizing the team's movements rather than solely relying on the construction of Yukong. This alleviates the pressure of acquiring specific equipment, allowing players to make the best of their existing resources.
Yukong Best Build In Honkai: Star Rail
Here's what Trailblazers need to know about Yukong's build in Honkai: Star Rail. Yukong's buff is not dependent on her own stats, allowing players to choose whether to focus on her damage dealing abilities or make her a tank, based on their specific needs.Light Cone | Relic Set | Relic Stat |

Yukong Best Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
There are only a limited number of Relic sets available in Honkai: Star Rail for Yukong. Unfortunately, none of these sets are perfectly suitable for her. However, players can still utilize different sets to enhance her abilities. They can choose the 4-piece Wastelander of Banditry Desert set to increase her Imaginary damage. Another option is the 4-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor set, which is great for creating weaknesses in enemies. While Imaginary's weakness break may not cause much damage or deal damage over time, increasing the Break Effect can delay the enemy's turn and slow them down even further. The 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat set is ideal for boosting Yukong's speed and Basic Attack damage. Lastly, the 4-piece Guard of Wuthering Snow set can improve Yukong's survivability.
As for Planar Ornament, the top choice is the 2-piece Fleet of the Ageless set, as it increases the team's attack and Yukong's HP. However, players can also consider other sets such as Inert Salsotto, Sprightly Vonwacq, and Talia: Kingdom of Banditry, as long as they balance the composition of their other Relics correctly.
Yukong Best Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail
However, the Battle Isn't Over serves as an excellent Light Cone for Harmony characters. To optimize Yukong's performance, players should adjust their SPD to ensure that the DPS takes their turn immediately after Yukong, effectively utilizing the weapon's passive ability. It is important to note that using Yukong's Ultimate does not count as "using their Ultimate on an ally," as it only enhances Bowstring's effect and prevents Skill Point restoration. In setups like the DoT team, Carve the Moon and Weave the Clouds can be preferable options. In a DoT team, it is advisable for Yukong to move last rather than first. This allows the team's ATK to be boosted when the enemy starts moving and experiences DoT DMG.
For a mono-Imaginary team, such as the Silver Wolf's team composition in Honkai: Star Rail, Planetary Rendezvous is a decent choice. In contrast, Chorus proves to be an excellent weapon for new players, as it unconditionally increases the team's ATK by 12%.
Yukong Trace Priority In Honkai: Star Rail
Yukong’s Trace priority in Honkai: Star Rail is:
Skill = Ultimate
Basic Attack
Talent
Yukong boosts her ATK through her Skill, while her Crit Rate and Crit DMG buffs are obtained from her Ultimate. However, since her Crit buff relies on her Skill's Roaring Bowstring stacks, the Skill takes slight precedence over the Ultimate.
Despite her role as a support, it is important not to overlook Yukong's damage-dealing Basic Attack and Talent. Yukong inflicts additional Imaginary DMG with her Basic Attack, and the reduction in Toughness is also enhanced. This means that even without the damage potential from her Skill, she can still contribute with her Basic Attack in situations where using her Skill is not feasible.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
