Diancie and Mega Diancie are legendary Rock and Fairy-type creatures making their debut in the game. Diancie boasts a maximum CP of 3091 in Pokemon GO, while its Mega evolution reaches an impressive maximum CP of 4913. Both the regular and Shiny versions of this Pokemon possess versatile movesets that prove highly effective in both player versus player and player versus environment scenarios. Consequently, players may wonder about the methods to acquire Mega Diancie and if the Shiny variant is available.

Pokemon GO: How to get Mega Diancie

To start, players must obtain Diancie and then proceed to Mega Evolve it into Mega Diancie. Diancie is a featured creature in Pokemon GO Fest 2023, and those who purchase tickets for the event will have access to Special Research that allows them to obtain this creature. The Global event spans two days, and ticket holders will have the opportunity to engage in exclusive Special Research on the first day, Saturday, August 26. This particular Special Research will provide players with an encounter with Diancie.

Mega Diancie possesses a versatile range of moves, with the most effective combination being Rock Throw and Moonblast, which yields a DPS (damage per second) of 24.08. Once players have acquired a Diancie, they can Mega Evolve it by collecting 300 Pokemon GO Mega Energy. This particular type of energy can be obtained through completing ticket-exclusive Special Research tasks and by defeating Carbink in raids. To acquire a sufficient amount of Mega Energy, players must actively participate in 2-Star Carbink raids and emerge victorious. The faster a player defeats the raid boss, the more Mega Energy they will earn.

The Mega Evolution of Diancie lasts for a duration of eight hours, during which only a single Pokemon can undergo Mega Evolution. However, it is important to note that if players choose to Mega Evolve another Pokemon within this eight-hour timeframe, the Mega Diancie will revert back to its original form. Furthermore, as players increase the Mega Level of Diancie, the amount of Mega Energy required decreases. Moreover, progressing in the Mega Level not only reduces the cooldown period but also unlocks additional bonuses.

Pokemon GO: Can Diancie and Mega Diancie be Shiny

While there are different versions of Shiny in the game, Shiny Diancie is currently not obtainable.
