One such advantage lies in the secret rooms hidden within the Orphanage, waiting to be uncovered by clever and resourceful players.

How to Enter the Secret Rooms in The Outlast Trials

Players can find some secret rooms in The Outlast Trials that contain temporary upgrades that can be very useful. While these rooms are not difficult to find, accessing them can be a challenge. Here are some tips to help players get inside these hidden rooms.

Players can stumble upon metal doors marked with the word "Confidential" as they progress through the game's levels. These rooms, also referred to as Gift or Confidential Rooms, are packed with a plethora of supplies, including the aforementioned upgrades.

Players must locate blue buttons to unlock the metal door leading to Secret Rooms. These buttons are typically found in close proximity to the room and require all to be held down simultaneously. The buttons are usually at head level on the walls and can be easily located, unless the player is navigating through complete darkness. There are no restrictions on loadouts for this task. Once inside the Secret Room, players can expect to find an abundance of consumables, such as health, stamina, and night vision boosters, as well as evidence, batteries, healing items, and a Master Key, which can be used indefinitely as a lockpick.
